Head Girl and Manaiakalani Speech
Hi, my name is Florence and I want to be Panmure bridge’s head girl or Manaiakalani leader for 2020. I would like to become a student leader as I feel I have the ability to be a confident leader who is willing to take on big responsibilities for the school. Nobody wants to be a follower, but to lead you must learn to follow and have the confidence to stand alone. Being Head girl or Manaiakalani leader would mean that I would play a key role in the school community, which is a responsibility I am willing to take. I would also hope to gain satisfaction from being head girl or Manaiakalani leader by solving students problems and provide as much help as possible so that we continue to maintain the high-quality reputation our school has gained over the years.
I have completed all four silver care award badges and I am close to achieving my first gold badge. Currently, I have 979 blog post, which is really close to the goal I set myself at the start of the year, my goal was to get over 1000 blog posts before the end of the school year. I still have not yet achieved my goal, but I will get there if I keep trying because that’s what a leader does. They do not give up. I have participated in both the Summer Learning Journey and the Winter learning journey and I have completed them both. This year I have challenged myself to be the Panmure Bridge winner for the upcoming Summer learning Journey. Being Head girl or Manaiakalani leader it is important to have many qualities including being approachable and being able to work as part of a team and having confidence and respect.
I know that becoming Head Girl or Manaiakalani leader for 2020 is a great opportunity, I also know that my teacher has trusted me and has supported me to do better and by getting head girl or Manaiakalani leader I can show everyone else why they should trust me as well. If I was to become a student leader, it would be a great personal achievement for myself. Please vote for me to be your new head girl or Manaiakalani leader.
This week the Year 7s of Panmure Bridge created a speech for the Leadership roles for 2020. This is where we created a speech explaining why Mrs. Kirkpatrick or Mr. Johnston should pick us for a leader role such as Head Student, Manaiakalani Leader or Sports leader. Our Teacher Mrs. Anderson helped us with our scripts and gave us support. Our friends gave us advice on the way we should present our speeches and we took them. When we finished reading our scripts Mrs. Kirkpatrick and Mr. Johnston will discuss who will be the new leaders for 2020. They will present the winners at Prize Giving. I really hope I get the role I wanted.
