Today is the start of the Official Summer Learning Journey. For this activity we wrote down 10 foods that we would be able to take on a voyage. Down below will be the 10 foods that I would take.

1.Canned Food - Spaghetti - Spaghetti gives you nutrients
2. Beans - Beans are a source of Nutrients.
3. Biscuits - Because they can be good for snacks
4. Dried Fruits - Dried Fruits can boost your fibre and Nutrient.
5. Nuts - Because they don't rot or go bad. SO therefore it is a good source
6. Soup Mix - Can be useful for cold days.
7. Oats - Good Source of Fibre.
8.Beef Jerky - Healthy and Convenient way to get your low carb.
9. Noodle - Provides Iron and Vitamin B.
10. Chips - Chips can be used as a snack for traveling.

  1. Talofa lava Florence,

My name is Mani and I am going to be joining you on the Summer Learning Journey as a blog commenter. I am so excited that you are joining us for the Summer Learning Journey 2019-2020. Have you done this programme before?

This year I am so excited that I get to read over the Manaiakalani blogs, especially because I have been to your school and met you and your classmates! I am really looking forward to summer, aren't you? In my spare time I like spending time with my family and hanging out with my friends. I also love to exercise and write songs in my spare time. What are you looking forward to doing this summer?

I really enjoyed reading through your item list and thought that you did an awesome job explaining why you would pick them! Out of these items of foods what do you think is your favourite? Also by adding some bright colours or a few pictures of the food items to your blog post I think it would really catch people’s attention.

I look forward to reading more of your blog posts and hope you enjoy your last week of school, Happy posting Florence! :)

    Malo,
    Mani

  2. Malo e Lelei Florence! I am really excited to be starting the Summer Learning Journey with you again. I wouldn't have thought about bringing chips on a voyage, but it doesn't sound too bad- I'd just be sure to make the most of it. Good luck this year!

  3. Hi Florence,
I really liked how you took food items like beef jerky, dried fruit and oats because they'll last longer than things like biscuits. I also liked how your reason for choosing nuts is they don't rot or go bad. Do nuts really last forever?
