LI: To explore the international current events.
This week, we explored the international currents events and some of the different types of current events. Newspaper editors make choices everyday, about what to share with the world. On a google maps, Sakina, Haylee and I worked collaboratively to plot locations about these current event stories. We really enjoyed finding out about these stories, which was very interesting.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teacher is Mrs Anderson.

Current Events 1
Today I have completed my first Current Events map. For this Current Events map, I have chosen 2 articles from Kiwi Kids News. The first Article I chose was about people predicting that we might not have Notes and Coins, and we will trn to using cards. To sum up, New Zealand may become a Cashless Society, This article is under TImeliness, because it is something that is happening right now.. The second article I chose was about Queen Elizabeth having an early Easter break, She decided that she will have an Easter Break a week before the actual Easter break, This is under emotion because some people can have different emotions reading this.

Continuity, Oddity, Relevance, Magnitude, Unexpectedness, Impact, . The news we
needed to find had to be national which meant in the country, We have worked in
groups and in our group was Victoria, Ellenora, Diana, Chris,Ong, and myself.

Current Events
Today I worked with Chavda on Current events. Our topic we picked was Flooding in Victoria. We picked this topic because we found it interesting and different. I think we did a good job on this and I think the 6 hats help us explained the things we red.
