For this activity we choose a family member or friend and ask them what their dream job is and to also brainstorm six ways to help support them. Down below will be the person I chose and the six ways I would support them.
The person that I have chosen was my family member Ellenora. Ellenora's dream job is to become one of those tech teachers e.g Ms. Ferguson from Tamaki College. She has looked up to the Tech Rotation teachers and she has thought that it is what she wants to do. The six ways I would support her is:
1. When she is struggling I can help encourage her and carry on with what she is doing.
2. When she has a problem I can help her solve it and find ways to solve it.
3. I can help her with the work she needs to do, but not help too much that I'm giving her the answers.
4. If she is feeling like she is about to give up, I can lift her spirit up and get her to lift her head up high.
5. If she needs someone to talk to I will always be there for her.
6. I will help her throughout her ups a downs no matter what.
Kia ora Florence,
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely meeting you! I am so excited that you are joining us for the Summer Learning Journey 2019-2020. Have you done this programme before?
This is my first year joining the Summer Learning Journey, and I am so excited that I get to read over the Manaiakalani blogs.
I’m really looking forward to summer, aren't you? In my spare time I like spending time at the beach and hanging out with my friends. I also enjoy going for walks and I absolutely love cooking and baking. What are you looking forward to doing this summer?
I liked your ideas for how to support Ellanora. Becoming an tech teacher is a really awesome dream to have! I can tell Ellanora is someone you really care about :). Had you thought about adding an image to your post? It's fun to see images of what tech teachers do day-to-day!
My dream job is to become a teacher. I'm currently studying to become a teacher at the moment, and when my friends and family support my dreams it makes such a difference for me! :)
What is your dream job? I'd love to know! :)

Kia Ora Florence! You must be a great cousin for choosing her as your example and how you can support her in so many different ways. This is really inspirational, especially to me. Great blogging!
ReplyDeleteTalofa Lava Florence!,
ReplyDeleteWow! Reading your activity was really interesting and enjoyable. Your 6 supporting ideas will definitely help Ellenora with her teacher career. I like how you have explained what you have done for this activity.
Fantastic Work!
Hi Florence,
ReplyDeleteI liked how you said that you'd encourage Ellenora when she's struggling, and help her solve problems that she has. I also liked how you said that if she feels like giving up, you'll help her out. Would you want to become a teacher like her one day?
