Kiwi Sport

Today we had Kiwi sport that was conducted by Mr Ogilvie our teacher. First what we did we had to get into partners of 2 and give yourself a number out of 1 or 2, I was number 1 and my partner Victoria was number 2. If you were a number one then you had to sit on the concrete in a line and you are batting and if you were number 2 then you would be fielding. I was 4 in line and I was felling nervous. When you are batting you have to have you partner pitching to you. The things you need to remember about batting is that make sure your little knuckles and aligned and are at the bottom of the bat and you must have your bat on your non dominant shoulder and have your hand that on top it has to go in the middle of you vision or so that your arms can swing easily. For Pitching you have to remember the 2 litters L and K so you have to do L first and then K and then rock star then Flick. Then when you hit the ball with the bat then you can run if you feel like you won't be able to make it around the basses then you can stop at any bass you want to stop at. So later during the game we finished playing pitching and batting so we moved on to a new game. In this game you have 3 softballs and you have to through them as far as you can and you would have to run when you have thrown all 3 balls you have to try and run to each bass and make it home without the 3 balls getting back to the person in front of you.

Kiwi Can

Today at Kiwi Can the Kiwi Can leaders is going to do a new theme called Conflict resolution. But they are not going to be changing the topic. The games we played were 21. To play 21 you had to have a in someones hand and you have to be in a circle and you had to pass the ball around the circle and you have to count. If you have the ball and every count 21 that mean your out and you have to sit down here is another explanation.you have to stand in a circle and one person had to have a ball and you had to pass the ball to the person next to you and start to count who ever had the ball and had the number 21 you would have to sit down. You would have to keep playing until the last person is standing and who ever is last standing is the winner. Last we had our GKQ questions and then the Pizza Point. At the end we all had fun.

Cleaning out our Drive

L.I to organize files in right folders.
Today for cyber smart we had to File our files in the right Folder. I had only seven folders. When I checked My files were all placed nicely in there folders. I had to clean my Drive because if I am trying to find a specific file I might not be able to find it when scrolling down a pile of files. If I need to find a file I would be able to find it if my files were put in the right folder. I really like it when my files have been Filed because then I can find my files quick and not have to waste time trying to find it in a pile of files.

Duffy Assembley

L.I To write a blog about Our Duffy Assemble visitor Tayla and Matt.
Today at school we had a Duffy assemble. Our guest were Tayla Hudson Tomokino and Matt Johnson. Tayla and Matt talked about what they do as a living and Tayla said what she did when she was six years old. Tayla talked about how she was a BMX rider. She started riding BMX when she found out that her mum was a BMX rider. She asked her Nana if she could start riding BMX. So her Nana bought her a BMX Bike and Tayla started to ride around on bike tracks. Taylas future plans were to be an accountant,interviewer and a commentator. Tayla soon Became a world Champion. She was stared on Newspapers and the News. She won 4 champion Nations in 4 years. Next Matt had his talk and said that he was a rugby league player and Rugy player and that he stopped playing because he had heart conditions and that he had rheumatic fever. Matt played for the blues. Matt's future plans are to be a PE teacher. Also he said that he was going to play again once he was given the all clear. Last Tayla and Matt ask if anyone had questions for them before the left.

I learnt it  by going on someone else's blog post and writing how I liked it. I think the only thing that Sila needed to work on would have to be her blurb her blurb is a bit to small for a year 6. I think she could do a 5 sentence blurb.

Motto

L.I to learn how to focus on motto's and what they are.
I learnt how to make a motto for my team and find different kind of motto's from all around the world. We had to add an Explanation for why the company's made that motto. I learnt this by picking brands and food for our whole team to do. I worked with Liletina, Miiana, Angelica and Sione A. The brands we used were Adidas,Jordan's and Nike the food we used on the slide was McDonalds and KFC. We had to find the motto's for all of those items.

Today at kiwi Can our topic was leadership and out them was positive relationship. We played 2 games the first game was 21. To play you have to stand in a circle and one person had to have a ball and you had to pass the ball to the person next to you and start to count who ever had the ball and had the number 21 you would have to sit down. You would have to keep playing until the last person is standing and who ever is last standing is the winner. The next game we played was who am I. To play you had to have one person from a group of 3 and they have to stand in front of everyone and ask yes or no questions to guess what the kiwi can instructor put on the board. After the person standing in front have to keep asking yes and no questions until your group knows the answer. When your group is finished the person in front would have to go to the back. Once everyone had a turn we did some GKQ. I was first up with 2 other people from their groups. I liked Kiwi can this week because it was fun.

Kiwi Sport

Today for kiwi sport we learnt how to pitch. The equipment that was included was softball and bases. The bases were called home bass,first bass,second bass and third bass. Our warm up was when we had to run around in a circle but also touching the basses. We split into 2 teams one person would have to run around and touch the bass with their feet and they would have to get around as fast as the could. When everyone finished the results were in. Unfortunately both teams had a tie. I was hoping my team won but not this time. After the warm up we started by going to a ball on the cone or just going to the cone. So I had to go to a cone and I stood their until someone came and went to the ball and cone. Next H told us step by step on what techniques we have to use to pitch. The first technique was the flicker. The flicker is when you have to place you hand down beside you and have the ball in that hand and we had to try to throw the ball without making you hand move. The next technique we did was a letter technique we use the letters L and K. To make the L you had to put one hand up and the other one facing forwards to where you are looking. Then we had to do the letter K witch we had to go from an L to a K. To do the K you had to have the L shape and then one leg up and then you make the hand that is pointing to the sky you make the hand have the ball in it and twirl you hand around and then let go on of the ball. Last we went threw what we learnt and said what we have to focus on next time we start doing pitching again.

L.I to show leadership.

The theme is Positive relationships and the topic is leadership our catchphrase is leadership is fair,Leadership is fun, Leadership includes everyone.The games we played were hammer and copy me. My favorite game out of those two was the hammer. I like the game hammer because it includes speed and thinking fast. The photo on top is showing the game hammer and how we had to position yourself.This game is called copy me it is where you have to turn aroud and stay looking there and their is one person at the back and they are going to do an action and the person in front on the person ding the actions have to copy what that persons actions were. Then that person who just got told the actions they have to pass it on the person in front of them. It should keep going until the last person. The last person will have to do it and the first people  to give the action would say if it’s right or wrong

Kiwi Can

Today for kiwi can our topic is fairness and fair play also our theme is positive relationships. Last week we focused on following the rules. This week our activity was tigerlow. To play everyone would have to get into a circle and everyone would have to say roar when the person in the middle would say tiger. If the person in the middles say buffalo then the person that he/her points to you have to say buffalo. Later on in the game the kiwi can Leaders added another animal and it was a snake. The snake is when you wiggle like a snake. A Tiger is when you say roar and last a buffalo is when you say ooo. The next game was when their would be 2 taggers and they would have to jump to tag you. So basically everyone is on one side and the rest on the other side. When one of the instructor clap that's when you can jump away from the taggers. I got out in every game I was dissapoited but it was all right. So everyone would always be jumping everywhere but they don't know that the taggers are probably behind them.

Today I did some table conga and That is a math game that you can do to learn Multiplication and when you complete it then you get a award trophy for it and then you can practice the rest of your multiplications.The key was to get all of the numbers that comes after 2 like 2 4 6 8 10.Like counting in 2's.And there is also a virus that has a X on it and it is grey.If it touches you then you will have to sadly start all over again.

For Kiwi Can today we learnt how to play by the rules. We played 2 game the first game was called Freeze tag. This is how to play. First you have to have 2 taggers and everyone else has to go spreed out and they had to walk fast enough so that the taggers don't tag you but if you get tagged then you have to freeze and to be back in the game someone will have to touch you on the shoulders and then when you feel that someone touched you shoulder you can go and play with the others. We changed it by walking in slo mo and also your not allowed to talk.

Free rice

Today for my Other I wanted to play free rice. The words I did were Sick and Speak and more but I can't screen shot all of them. Free rice is a game that helps you to find what meaning mean what. Speak means talk,Talk means speak and sick means ill and ill means sick.
