On your blog please tell us:
  1. What is one thing that you learned from participating in the Summer Learning Journey programme this year? I have learnt lots of things about the environment that we are living in.
  2. What is one thing that surprised you? That I have actually succeed in this programme for 3 or 2 years.
  3. What is one thing that concerned or upset you? That I didn't come first but came second.
  4. What is one thing that you (or your family) can do, moving forward, to help protect our natural environment? Walk to places instead of using our car.
Thank you SLJ for making this programme, I think it really helps me and everyone else to get more confident.

Day 5 | Activity 3 | SLJ | Last day of week 3

This week for the summer learning journey it is the last day of week 3. I completed day 5, activity 3. This is what I had to do for the activity On your blog, write a short story about what happened when you opened the door and walked outside after the acid rain storm. To earn full points, you must write a story that is 8 – 10 sentences long. Down below is my short story. I will be earning the full points!

I wake up from my stressful sleep, I yawn for about 5 seconds. I open up the back door only to see that all my flowers from my garden are dead. I wonder how my plants died. Did I water them yesterday? I did because I also watered the neighbours flowers. I close the door and run to the front door, what do I see, Dead trees! No animals what so ever, brown dead grass and no flowers! I wonder to myself "WHAT HAPPEN TO NATURE!" as I wondered ashes came whirling in. Why could have this happen "Everyone come out to the front door!" I yell to my family. Everyone came rushing to the front door and everyone Gasped. Everyone became shook and started to question "What Happen?" I walk out on the concrete as I step on dead leaves, I shake because of how scared I was to loose nature. I thought to myself, "What about oxygen?, You need trees to BREATHE!" I was starting to think that we were going to die! My family then walked out with me and saw no living plants, animals, nature etc.

Day 5 | Activity 3 | SLJ | Last day of week 1

This week for the summer learning journey I have completed the last day of the first week of the SLJ. This activity was where I had to write a description of what Nz is like. The description had to have a lot of information, for example a person that hasn't been to Nz ever or hasn't even seen a photo of NZ can read this description and know what happens in NZ and what it's like to be in NZ. Down below is the description of NEW ZEALAND.

New Zealand is a great place to be in. It is calm & Peaceful. New Zealand has the best food like KFC, Mc Donalds, Burger king etc. New Zealand also has the greatest beaches, oceans and sea. The water is always crystal clear blue. If you come to New Zealand there are so many places to visit, you can learn the history of New Zealand. The language that is used in Nz is Te reo Maori & English. New Zealand also has a Maori title, it is called Aotearoa. The beautiful Aotearoa was treated amazing by voyagers. New Zealand has loads of sructual building, famous buildings like the Bee hive that is located in wellington, Down in the south Island. New Zealand is made up of 3 Islands which are called "The North Island, The South Island and Stewart island." The smallest island out of all three is Stewart Island. I love Aotearoa, you should too.
