Snag golf | Kiwi sport

This week for Kiwi sport we got to do Snag golf. It was our second to last time doing Snag golf this term. This week we did a recap on what we did last week. Once we did that Mr Ogilvie told us that we could customize our own Obstacle course. We had to get into groups of three, I was with Victoria and Sakina. Victoria left so me and Sakina had to figure out what to do. What we did was set the flag and a hoop on the other side of the court. Also we put the target a bit away from the T. We had to stand in the hoop to hit the ball.

For the first level you had to get the ball on the Snag/Target/Yellow part. Once you did that You had to move onto the second level, For that Level you needed to get the ball over the target and into the hoop. That one was a bit more harder because you had to hit the ball off the T, When we tried to hit the ball it would just hit the little blue thing on the T, so the ball just went rolling backwards. But once you finished the second level you had to move onto the third level. The third level was where you needed to get the ball over the target, over the hoop and stuck onto the bucket with the flag.

The third level was the hardest because we had to get the ball over the 2 other levels, and it was hard to do that because of where the ball was sitting. But after that little bit of fun Mr Ogilvie told us to pack the gear that we were using. Once we did that Mr Ogilvie set out 4 right handed golf clubs and one left handed golf club, he also set out a T. Before he got those things out he told one person from our group to come and get three balls from him. Each group had a different color ball, our group get the color Orange. So Mr Ogilvie made us go into a line in our groups.

The first person from the first group went up and they had to hit the ball as far as they could. We all tried until it was the next persons turn. Once every group hit the ball Mr Ogilvie Looked at all of the balls and saw that Lorenzo's group came first The second group was Sione T's Group. Then Mr Ogilvie had a go and he hit the ball with the left handed golf club and the right handed golf club, he didn't do as good using the left handed club, but he did very good using the right handed club. Once that was over we had to pack up and go back to class.

Kiwi Sport

Image result for snag golfThis week for Snag golf we got to use a different kind of putt. The putt was made for the ball to go flying in the air and landing on or in something. We had to get into a group of 3, in my group was Victoria and Miiana. On the first activity we had to hit the ball so that the ball went into the hoop. There were no points added to that. We all had a go and tried our best, but only I got the ball in the hoop. Once we did that the second activity was to hit the ball so that the ball bounced in the hoop and land on the target. We all had a go but no one got it on the target, Again we all tried our best but didn't score the goal. Then we had a third activity, it was to move the target closer and move the hoop further down. But we had to try and make the ball go over the target and land in the hoop. We tried our best but none of us got the ball in the hoop. The last activity was to just make the target fall over and then make the ball bounce in the hoop and hit the flag. We all tried but only Victoria could get one. At the end we all had fun.

Snag golf

This week for Snag Golf we used the putters again. We learnt how to hit the ball threw obstacles. We had to get into a group of 3 people, In my group was Victoria and Angelica. We had to do a recap on what we did last week. Then we had to make our own obstacle course and make a goal for completing each course. We made an obstacle course that would have 2 cones to get pass and then the target where the ball has to get through, Last the ball has to stick on the bucket in the back of the target. If you got past the cones that's one point, if you get pass the target then that's another point and last if you get the ball on the bucket then that's one points. So you have to try and get 3 points.Image result for Snag golf

Snag Golf | Kiwi Sport

Image result for snag golfThis week for Kiwi Sport we learnt 3 things about putting. One of them was to tick tok like a clock, so swing your arms and the putt like a clock. The second one was to stay perpendicular when putting and last was to the gripping of the putt. So to hold the putt you need to have the hand you write with closest to the bottom and your non hand writing hand on the top. We had to get into groups of 3 people, I got into a group with Victoria and Alayah. We had to try and putt the ball to the target. I hit the target on all of my tries, I was really impressed. Victoria only got one snag and Alayah got none. We only got a little bit of time so we only got to have one round of Snag Golf. But in the little time that we had it was really fun.

Snag Golf/ Kiwi Sport

This week for kiwi Sport we had snag golf again. This week we finally got to use the putters after 2 weeks practice we have done pretty good at putting the ball on the target. I was woriking in a group of three with Raera and Nicole. On the first activity we had to try and get the balls into the hoop by swinging our bodies. The second activity was if you got the ball n the water/blue part then thats minus 1 point. If the ball land on the red then that means you have to have another roll. If the ball missed completely then thats another roll. But if it lands on the yellow scream "SNAG!". The third activity had the putter included. So with the putter you have to putt the ball so that it lands on the yellow/Target. My group got the first round winning with 7 points. My group did pretty well so I am proud of them.

Snag golf

This week for Kiwi sport it was our second session of our first Sport for Term 3. It was Snag golf. What we learnt was that when we were to hold a golf club we have to move our body to swing. We practiced that by holding a ball and swinging our arms. We also practiced by swinging our body. With the ball we had to throw/roll the ball to the target. If we hit the target we get 0 points. THe goal was to get 0 points. I was in a group of three with Victoria and Alayah. On the first Activity we had to throw/Roll the ball on the target. On the second activity we had to have our toes facing the hall door witch was the right and then swing our arms then throw/roll the ball and see if it landed on the target. On the last activity we had to roll the ball into the hoop. We had 2 turns to get the ball in the goal for all three of the activitys. But next week we might be using the golf club. We will be practicing how to swing our body to swing the golf club to make the ball go on the target.

We had 2 turns to get the ball on the target and 3 balls to see if the ball goes on the target. We had consequences for the boundaries. We also had a hoop in front of us. We had to try and bounce the ball inside the hoop and then hopefully the ball goes on the target. If the ball misses the hoop then you had to do 5 star jumps, If the ball misses and goes out then that's 10 star jumps,if the ball hits the white cone and goes on the target then that's no star jumps and if the ball misses the cone and goes on the red boundary than that 5 star jumps. Next week we will be using the golf club and practice our swinging.
