Multiplication Poster

L.I to make a D.L.O explaining how to solve a maths problem using strategy.
L.I To prove how you got your answers and how you know they are right.

This week for maths we had to choose to make a Poster,Animation,Slide or a video. With those options we also had to choose what maths subject to use for those other options. I made a poster about Multiplication. My poster included the equation that I was solving, the place value strategy, the explanation of how to solve it and how I can prove my answers are right. I added a bit of fun and used a coloured background. My equation was 32 x 12 = ?

Tunnel poster

This week for inquiry we had to make a poster showing information about tunnels. We had to get into partners and I worked with Charlize. We used our researching skills to find information about How tunnels are made,How tunnels work and Information about tunnels. We added photos to guide what we were trying to say. We looked at sites to find information. Also we used google maps to search up famous bridges. I have included the google map that Charlize and I have done.

Winter Olympics 2018

 LI: To create a poster about the 2018 Winter Olympics. This week for inquiry we had to make a poster about the Winter Olympics. First we had to get into groups of 4 people. I was with Charlize, Sakina, Angelica and Jayden. For the poster we had to include the distance from South Korea to New Zealand, the map of where the Winter Olympics is being held in, how many events there will be, the countries that are competing and how long it goes for. We had to make sure our text, our colour, our composition and our layout was good.

L.I To Demonstrate our understanding of reading strategies. I learnt to make a slide about  What we did for reading this year. I learnt it by working with Chavda and by writing down what links that go to some of our reading sites.
