On your blog, recount a time when you or someone you know experienced a challenge and overcame it.
The time I have overcome something -
This was around in September 2019. When I went to Samoa, I stayed there for 3 weeks, I got really attached to Samoa, so it felt more like my home, but when it was time to leave I was very emotional. I cried for a whole week because I messed my family in Samoa so much, but then I heard they were coming for Christmas. So I felt very happy, and I also had school so I would feel better with my friends.
I can totally empathise Florence...When we moved to New Zealand we had to leave all of our family behind in England, but they, and some of our friends, have been out to visit many times... Keep blogging, and commenting on others to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes, and to keep up your learning over the school break!
ReplyDeleteHello Florence! Leaving family behind is always tough, but when you learn to overcome that struggle, life definitely gets better - I would know. It's still difficult to think about what life would've been like if I hadn't moved to New Zealand, but I know this means more for my siblings and parents. That's amazing you've found ways to co-ope with your adversity...thank you for sharing, great work!
ReplyDeleteMalo e lelei Florence,
ReplyDeleteWow, that must have been so hard for you to overcome! I know how it feels because I felt the same when I visited my siblings in America! I hadn’t seen them in 13 years and it was so hard seeing my little brother who was a baby the last time I saw him and then all of a sudden he’s this big dude and can talk! I am so glad that you got to visit them though and I can only imagine how much you would have loved being with your family over there! Oh lucky you, that must have been a nice surprise for you!! Thank you for sharing something that you have overcome! :)

Hi Florence,
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that you got attached to Samoa and your family over there because you'd been staying there for three weeks. I went over to Samoa to visit my relatives when I was around 7, and I felt sad about leaving as well. Would you want to stay over there again?
