Kiwi Can

This week for Kiwi Can we have a new topic. Our new topic is Reliability. We first went onto our energiser, our energiser was a game on where we found a partner to be with, and we would have to trust them to protect us without getting yourself tagged. You did this by having one person in front, and someone in the back closing their eyes. The aim of the game was for the person in the back to not get tagged by any of the other partners. This game was all about reliability. We then moved onto talking about our new topic. We talked about what Reliability means, What we do when we rely on someone, and what it feels to be relied on. We talked about what everyone thought in their own opinion. After talking about reliability we then did our activity. Our Activity was all about relying on your partner to balance with you in any ways. We did this with leaning backwards, Forwards, Sideways, back to back, Sit down stand up and more. This activity was really Fun.

This week we had another lesson of Kiwi Can. This week our theme was honesty and our topic is Integrity. We started off with our energiser, the energiser was called Bang. In the game bang we were focusing on our listening skills. Once the energiser was finished we talked about our theme. We talked about how honesty could effect other people, How honesty can be better or worse to the people around you. After talking about Honesty we moved onto our Activity. Our activity is called Honest cards. This was where we were given a scenario of how we can show honesty. We were given 1 scenario card to talk with our group, there were 3 scenario's in total. As a group we all talked about the scenario and answered the questions. Kiwi Can was great this week I found learning more about honesty really interesting.

This terms in Kiwi Can our theme is Integrity, and our topic is honesty. Integrity means doing the right thing even when no one is looking. An example of integrity is like someone who owns up to a mistake that they made. The role play activity that we played was about Integrity & Honesty. Our role play was about someone who smashed a window, That person was to own up and show integrity and honesty.. Something interesting about Kiwi can this week was finding out about the meaning of Integrity.

This photo is of my group, This photo shows how someone showed integrity by owning up to a mistake that they had made. When they did something wrong they need to show that what they did was wrong, and that if they show honesty they would get in less trouble.

This week for kiwi can we talked about our topic (Accountability) And the Theme (Integrity).
The game we played was Hand soccer and Shark attack. To play Hand soccer this what you do:
There will be 4 hoops and their will be a bunch of people running around the room. So the 4 hoops are your safe pads.
That's were you have to be when someone says Shark attack. If the referry takes away some hoops then it will be
harder. The next game was Hand soccer. To play hand soccer you will need two goals and two lines of girls and boys.
Number yourselves up and one person would say a number and if that is your number you have to stand up and touch
your goal. Once you have touched the goal then you have to use one hand to get the ball into the other teams goal.
Later on we did some GKQ and it was fun. We got a perfect score of 25 because we got 5 for all of the points. So
we might get a chance of winning a free lunch with the Kiwi Can leaders.

This week for kiwi can we talked about our topic (Accountability) And the Theme (Integrity).
The game we played was Body move and Copy me. To play Body move this what you do: you
must have a bunch of people to play with and you will need to buddy up with someone. Then you will
have one person saying something. THe things the person it saying is Pear,apple,banana,fruit salad and
watermelon. Pear means get into a group of four, Apple means go under your buddys legs, banana means
one person goes to the back and the otehr goes in front, Fruit salad means find another buddy and watermelon
means the person in front goes down on their knees and put their hands on the ground and the other person
goes on top of them pretending to ride a bike. To play Copy me this is what you have to do: You will
have to have four groups one person will have a bunch of cards and then your group will have
to choose a leader to get the cards for the group. Their will be numbers on the board and
if you get a 1 then your whole group would have to do that thing that says on the board.
Later on we did some GKQ and it was fun. We didn't get time to do the pizza points because
Rm 5 was waiting to come inside.

This week for kiwi can we talked about Role models. We played a energizer called cat and mouse to play this is what you do: get into lines of four and put your arms spread out. One person will have to say right or left when that person says left or right the four lines need to turn that direction and their will be two people, the mouse and cat. The cat will be holding a pool noodle and the mouse will just have to run. The cat had to try and hit the mouse with the pool noodle so that the mouse is out. Our other game was the cat walk. For this game you will need to have music 2 lines of girls and boys and the 2 people in the middle will have to walk down the middle of the boys and girls and do something their must be music included. last we had a dance battle and no one needs to know how to play that because everyone was born with it.

This week for kiwi can we talked more about the new topic which is role models. Our theme is integrity, Integrity means doing the right thing when no one is looking and role model means when you do good dissensions so that if younger kids look up to you they will do the same thing as you. The games we played were bang and tooty fruity. To play Bang you will need to get into a circle and have one person in the middle. The person in the middle has to say one name from the people in the circle. Who evers name was called out will have to bob down and the two people next to them has to say bang and who ever said bang first the other person is out. But if your name is called out and you are to slow to bob down and someone says bang then you are out. You had to keep doing that until their is a winner. The last two standing has to go back to back and someone has to do a story and then there has to be a magic word and when they say that magic word the two left overs will have to say bang then who ever said bang first then they have won. To play tooty fruity you have to get into a circle and and look to the right. Then someone will have to say the three fruits which are apple,orange and banana. Apple means jump forward, orange means jump backwards and banana means turn around and face the other way. You have to try and mix it up and have one person standing.

This week for Kiwi can we have a new topic is was called role models. We talked about how to be a good role model, Who is a role model to you and what they do that makes them our role model. Our Theme is still the same it is integrity. Integrity means doing the right thing when no one is looking.I decided to work with Nicole for this.

How to play doggy: You have to sit on a chair with a blindfold on and you have to protect a pen using a noodle.

How to play who’s missing :

You have to lie down with your head down like heads down thumbs up and the teachers have  to pick to people to go into the next room and then the teachers have to say heads up and then you have to try and guess who's missing.

This week was the 3rd time we have been at kiwi can and we have a new theme and topics. Our new theme was Integrity and our topic was Making good choices. Integrity means when you are doing the right thing even when no one is watching. These are the games we play.

How to play Clap:

To play clap the rules are you have to be honest and tell the truth. Next One person has to be the leader and they will be crossing the arms side to side or swaying i should say. When that persons arms have reach the middle you have to clap if they stop with their hands in front of them then you have to try not to clap and if you clap your out. You have to keep playing until there is one person left standing.

How to play Captains tag:

Their has to be two hoops and two captains. Next there must be people load of them as well.Then you will need to get into two even groups. You will have to have a boundary and ten balls in the middle in a line and then someone will say 3,2,1 go and every will run to the balls and try to tag someone waist and down. If you are out the captain of your group will tag you and then you are back in the game.

L.I to explain what you did at kiwi can.
I learnt how to put lots of detail on a D.L.O. We have played a new game called opposite. This is how to play opposite : Someone will have to do the  actions and the rest of the people would have to do the opposite of that person if you do the same thing as the person doing the actions then your out.  This is how to play terminator tag: Everyone’s in and you have to tag everybody and if you get tagged your out but if you tag each other at the same time you have to rock paper scissors.

This week for kiwi can we had our first session of kiwi can and we have a new Theme and Topic. Our theme is integrity and out topic is Making good choices. We had to games that we played we played 21 and terminator tag. This is how to play Terminator tag.

How to play Terminator tag:

Everyone’s in and you have to tag everybody and if you get tagged your out but if you tag each other at the same time you have to rock paper scissors.

How to play 21:

You have a ball and you have to pass it around and count to 21 and who ever has the ball on 21 is out
