Day 1: Activity 3: The diary of Anne Frank

For this activity, we would like you to imagine that you have a diary. In your diary please write a story about your most extraordinary day. What happened? You can tell us about an actual event or you can make one up. It’s totally up to you! Please be as creative as you can.
On your blog, post a diary entry about your extraordinary day. Please start your post with the words “Dear Diary”.

  1. Hello Florence! You are doing amazing things with the Summer Learning Journey. And well done on this activity - I really enjoyed reading your diary entry and what you decided to write about. Travelling to Samoa sounds wonderful! This sounds very realistic, and we would love to know if this was a real event or not? Great work!

  2. WOW - what a day to reflect upon in your diary. I always use the WWWWWH when recounting events. I've never been to Samoa but I'm tempted too now. Keep up the great blogging and commenting Florence.

  3. Kia ora Florence,

Thanks for sharing your diary entry! Is this an actual event, or made up? The air in Samoa is a lot hotter! I fully get what you mean. I love the sun there though, a lot more tropical than in New Zealand! :)

What is your favourite season? I'm interested to know!

    Nga mihi

  4. Hi Florence,
I liked how you expressed how you felt about flying to Samoa with capital letters. I also liked how you described the air and how different it felt from the air you're used to. Was this a real event? Or did you make it up?
