SLJ Week 1 Activity 6

Today I have completed another SLJ activity. This activity was about re-arranging Maori words to create a sentence. We created a copy of a google slide and we had to fill it out. Some slides you only had 2 options and on others you had more than 3 options to choose from. The last slide is about you making the sentence up and making it so that is replies to "What are you doing today?". We also got the choice to create a screencastify for bonus points, and getting someone from our family to help us. I will upload the screencastify when someone form my family isn't busy.

  1. Kia ora Florence,

I really liked reading your blog post today! I liked how you have explained what you did in the activities as it helps the reader understand what you are talking about. What helped you to solve these questions in the activity? Next time try to add a learning intention as it is very important for the people to know why we are doing this. Did you use maori dictionary for this activity? How was it helpful?

Keep up the great work! I am looking forward for your reply.

    1. Hi Sakshi!
Thank you for commenting on my blog! I used Maori Dictionary and Google translate to help me with these questions. I will make sure to add an L.I in my future activities. Maori Dictionary was helpful for me because it helped me find the right meaning for the words I was looking for. If you did this activty, what was the hardest thing about it?

  2. Kia ora Florence,

My name is Shannon and I’m from the Summer Learning Journey.

You’ve created this sentence perfectly, ka pai! You’re awesome! I love going to the playground! What sorts of things do you like to do there? I always go on the swings. When I was little, I always wanted to go the whole way round, so my dad would always push me really high!

Looking back at the create section on the activity, it includes another component. Are you able to draw a picture of you and your whānau doing the activity you chose in slide five. That way I can give you some extra points!

Here is an example of a cool drawing that Kayla has done, check out slide seven to have a look.

I’ll check back in later to see how you’re getting on - I can’t wait to see your drawing!

    Happy blogging!

    Ka kite anō,
    Shannon (SLJ)
