This week for the summer learning journey i completed Day 4, activity 3. This is what we had to do for the activity On your blog, write a short story about what you think is happening in the picture. Be sure to tell us where you think the people are and what you think they were doing at the time that they stopped to pose for the selfie. To earn full points, the story must be 8 – 10 sentences long. Down below is my story.
One day a lady named Emily went on a tour in New York. Emily was exploring cities, buildings land and much more. She ended up on a tall building in morocco, she was overlooking the harbour and city. At that moment she was desperate to have a photo of the scenery. She looked through her handbag trying to look for her phone. Emily was starting to think that she had left her phone on the tourist bus, until she finally found the phone at the very bottom of her handbag. She took out the phone and walked further to the edge of the tall building. She was so nervous that she was shaking like a leaf. She was so close to the edge she was scared that she would fall off. She moved closer to the edge until her heels were hanging off the whole building. She stayed as sturdy as she could. Emily grabbed her phone out and tried to find her camera app. She then found it and got ready to pose. She lifted her finger and balanced herself on the edge of the very tall building, she pushed the button and... SNAP! The photo was taken. She saved the photo and sent it to the whole world.

ReplyDeleteI like the way you've set the scene by describing what she was doing prior to taking the selfie. "She was so nervous she was shaking life a leaf", great simile. I would be incredibly nervous standing up on the edge like that too. I can't help but wonder, is it really worth it? Certainly not in heels!
Wow. Would you take a selfie like this? And risk your life for some likes on social media. Crazy!
