This week for the summer learning journey I completed Activity 3 of Day 3. This activity was where I had to find out information about what animal WWF was trying to save, what the WWF was doing to help the animal and What, if any, success they had protecting the animal. Down below is the information on WWF.
WWF were trying to help the Saimaa seals by building snowbanks. They were trying to build snowbanks for the seals to give birth to new baby seals. The seals had to give birth in a snowbank or else the baby seal would not be safe. WWF had people take time off from their day to help make snowbanks. Their success on helping this animal was that they made over
Hi Florence,
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing blog post from you. Niceeee, I love the way that you've explained about a WWF animal that you were trying to save. I like it how you said that they were trying to help the Saimaa seals by building snowbanks. I love Saimaa Seels ever since I was young, so I'm glad that there helping them out.
Nice Work!
Hello Florence,
ReplyDeleteI think that your blurb is right. I got the same answer too. You are doing so well in the SLJ. Keep it up!
Talofa Florence,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Susie and I am a member of the Summer Learning Journey team this year. It is great to see that you've been keeping yourself busy over the summer!
Did you enjoy watching the video clip about freshwater seals? What was your favourite part of the video and why? I especially loved the scene where we could see what the WWF workers were doing to make the snow banks. It was amazing to see this from a bird's eye view! It sends us the message that teamwork matters.
I think you may have accidentally forgot to finish your last sentence for this post. What success did they have protecting the seals?
Looking forward to hearing back from you,
Susie
Talofa lava Florence,
ReplyDeleteI really like how you have decided to talk about the Saimaa seals. I choose the same as well. I also like how you talked about how the Saimaa seals should survive. Thank a lot for sharing what you have learned during this activity.
Was it hard doing this activity?
