Royal New Zealand Ballet
Today LS2 has gotten the opportunity to do ballet with Chloe from The Royal New Zealand Ballet. She has come in today to teach us how to do the entrance of a ballet show called Black Swan, White swan. It is currently still on, and will be in Wellington and Auckland. In our lesson with Chloe we started off with a warm up. The warm up was of our shoulders. We moved our shoulder up and down and used some motion with it. We then moved onto doing a warm up for our feet, with our feet we started by doing a motion where we lifted our heels off the ground but left the other part of our feet down. We did around 12 of those and then moved onto learning the entrance of the ballet show dance. There were really cool parts that we learnt from the entrance, We did a one leg leap, a swan, a plank/Forward Support, LS2 has been so lucky to have Chloe come down to teach us about this beautiful ballet creation. We would like to thank Chloe for flying all the way from Wellington to give LS2 this opportunity. we would also like to thank Fiona for helping get this organised for LS2 to have this chance to try Ballet.
