Badminton

Today was the day that Group A had to go to Kiwisport Our Group didn’t have any idea what our kiwi sport session was about because it was the first day of the session. As we walked in the hall we saw a man sorting out the rackets and shuttles. We all sat on the ground in front of the man, when he was done he said what his name was and it was Kevin. Kevin told us where he worked and what we were doing in today’s session, it was badminton. We all listened to Kevin as he told us what to do. The rules were that we cannot swing the racket,We cannot play sword fights with the Racket,We cannot keep juggling if you are close to someone because you might hit them

First thing we had to do was grab a racket and a shuttle, He told us all to stand on the white line with our badminton and our shuttle. Kevin told us to put our hand that we write with on the bottom of the Racket. So we did that then we had to hold it as if we were about to shake someone's hand, But just turn it so the the bottom is facing the floor and the top is facing the roof. We all had a go at juggling the shuttle we all tried as hard as we could, I was really getting a hang of it . That skill was called four hand.

Then Kevin told us to try and juggle it ten times or more on the first go I failed a lot of times but i tried my hardest. Next we had to juggle it with the other hand. We had to practise juggling and once again I failed but I nearly got ten but always got stuck on 8 or 6. Everyone once again tried there hardest to get up to ten or more and a few people achieved and got ten or more some even got 15 or even more. I was surprised of the

Then the next challenge was to juggle the Shuttle up and turn the racket and bounce it up and turn it again and again. We had to do it ten times or more again and I achieved I got 11 I was so happy because I thought I wasn’t gonna make it but I guess I just needed to focus more on what I’m doing instead of what other people were doing. Other people got even more then me.

Kevin told us that we had to juggle it with our thumb on the top of the Racket hold thing and the rest of the fingers on the bottom. We also had to make it so that our thumb was facing to the ground and your other fingers facing the roof. So it was harder than I thought it would be. Kevin stopped us and told us to try and get ten or more again. So I tried this time and I only got 9 I was really close to getting ten or even more but sadly i didn’t I was disappointed but it was ok.

Kevin told us that this was gonna be harder for us and it was that we have to try and juggle the shuttle in the air then put the racket on the side of us and try juggle that. I was like I will never be able to do that. Suddenly I tried and got 2 and I was so Surprised about it because I thought I wouldn’t even get one but my thoughts were wrong.

Kevin said that this one was the hardest and he said that we have to try and juggle the shuttle in the air then try and hit it while being between our legs and repeat that I was so nervous that I would get none. Out of nowhere I finished with 2 in total. That last thing was for everyone to try and juggle the Shuttle as long as we could. The winner was Jayden. We tried again and it was a tie with Lukah and Matthew and those three went head to head to see who the winner was and the Winner was Matthew. I was super happy about our first day of badminton so we left with a big smile and a few sweaty boys.

Today for writing, yesterday we wrote another recount for 40 minutes. I learnt how to write a recount.What we had to do was write a recount on what we did at kiwi sport.Next we got timed 40 miniutes. Then after we wrote we had to mark our work with the rubrik.

Kiwi Sport

Today at kiwi sport we learnt how to play badminton. we learnt a lot of skills like four had and back hand and how to juggle the Shuttle using the racket. The very last one was the more hardest one because we had to juggle the shuttle between our legs. After practicing some of the skills our Coach Kevin gave us a challenge that was to try and juggle the shuttle for ten times or more. I got 11 on one of the round I was super happy.

I learnt how to do a Novel time slide by writing down what happen in the story. I could only do one box each time I read the book.

I learnt how to do Keyboarding Drills lvl 1. Lvl one was easy. I will be doing Lvl 2 soon then lvl 3 then i will be good at using my Keyboards .

Today I learnt how to solve a 2 digit plus another 2 digit and 3 digit take away 2 digit. We had the same math must do as last weeks so basically you seeing the same thing but different equations. I also did a graph of rolled numbers. I made two graphs of it.

Free Rice Can do

I learnt how to play a game called free rice it is a game where you have to read a word and pick from the 4 options and pick one and on the left corner of the game it says if you are correct or incorrect. As you see I did 2 one was bright means : and I answered Shining and I was right. The other one was regular means : Ordinary.

Te Reo Maori

Today we did Te reo Maori with Mrs Faiori. For Maori today we had a sheet of paper that had names of places in Maori and we had to search it up on google maps to find out where is it in New Zealand. We had to write down the English name or the Maori name or you could do both but we can't do just English. For this activity we had to work in pairs and I worked with Charlize.

Kiwi Can

Today at kiwi can we played a game called relay and for it we had to get into 2 pairs and we had to hold a ball behind our back and keep it there and walk to the cone go around it and come back and I was with Raera, The second challenge was were we had to hold the ball with out hips and me and Raera completed it we failed a lot on the last one but on the first time for the holding the ball with our back it was really challenging but we won the second Challenge. We were learning about Respect our Phrase was R.E.S.P.E.C.T find out what it means to me.

On Wednesday night was the PBS Production night. Zoe Was our instructor she helped us learn our dances before the night. Zoe worked with every

class room. Our teachers would sometimes help polish our dances so that the dances were perfect.

For parents to come to the dance they had to have tickets but sadly all the tickets were sold out, there were none  left. People who came were Students from PBS, Parents and also the teachers. When it was 6:00 every one went to go and get changed for the dance.

Each class had a dance to perform, I was in the Single ladies group. Once everyone was finished getting dressed, everyone went straight to the hall students were very excited. Everyone had sat down with their class ready for their dances.

I was also excited but also Nervous. The first class to perform was room 2 and 4 while they came on stage an ad would come on to distract people from looking at the performers. So room 2 and 4’s Dance was cute. When they finished the next class went on stage and then it would keep going.

Our class dance was the last dance besides Pacifica But I was really Nervous but I was Excited at the same time to do my dance in front of everyone.

At last everyone felt so happy that they did a dance for people and also the Student’s did a little Bow to the Parents for coming. Student’s Rushed out and went to get changed and go home. Everyone was super happy that the dance was over and so everyone could get some rest until night 2.

I learnt to write a Recount in 40 minutes. I learnt it by trying to remember what happen on the production night/ Dance. I had to write a story about what happen on Wednesday and Thursday.

I learnt to do a google slide that had a slide that had 3 circles on a slide. I learnt it by going around the circles that Mr Ogilvie put on the mat and I just added some words from the mat and only the ones that I know instead of getting every piece of paper on the mat.

L.I to find the names of the iwi/Tribe and waka landings. I learnt to work with confidence and speak up ever now and then. I leant it by working with Mele and Marieta. They were not as interactive because they would always talk to each and not me. But besides that my task was to search up waka landings and the names of the iwi/tribes. Also we had to put in the link to the site we got the information from, the date and the author.

Kiwi kids news

Today I went onto Kiwi kid news and pressed a article called Potato chip crisis hits New Zealand. I was so shocked of the title so i just went for it and read the rest of the article. Kiwi Can

Today at kiwi can We learnt about respect. We also played games the first game we played was where we had to walk in a circle and when Miss Lily would stop the music the person behind the cone has to say 3 nice things about the other person who is behind the other cone. I had to stop and say 3 things about Te Rangi Marie and she had to say 3 things nice to me and she said my earring were pretty and I said I liked her hair. The Second Game was were we had to write down somethings about ourselves and then when we are done writing we give the paper back to Miss Lilly or Mr Malu and then we had to guess which paper belongs to who.

Today I had to make an Instruction Video doing 1 strategy on how to solve a 2 2 digit number together to get your correct results and my video took a little long but I successfully finished and I was happy that I got it done. Here is my recording ->

Daily 6

Today I did a Daily six where I had to Count down from 100 to 0 I did one mistake at 4 but I did it again and I finished counting and I listened to it and it sounded great so here is the link -> Here Is my Recording Check it out!

Free Rice/Can do

Today I did one of the can do's It was called Free Rice it was a game where I had to read a little text say a word and means and I did motion means and I chose movement and I was correct so basically I have to answer a hole lot of questions and answer them.

Raz kids

Today I did Raz Kids. Raz kids is a reading Site for children to listen to read and to answeer questions about the book. My book that I did was The mystery wind I listend to the book I read the Book and I also did the questions and at First I got 3 out of 10 so i went back and Read the story one more time and I got 8 out of ten. That means that you should read the book about 2 or 3 times to have more detail about the book

PBS Holiday Blogging - Activity 1 Day 4

When each of the solders arrived to get ready for war their attackers came running closer and closer to get the war started.I find this interesting because this facts I have never heard in my life and it is interesting to always learn more about things.


Some point the Turkish would wave a flag. They requested one day free to clean the body's of theirs. I find this Interesting because I never heard of this Fact before and because i am not really an expert at things about world war.


For this activity I had to find 2-3 interesting facts from watching 3 videos with a man telling a few facts and about world war. I had to find three facts that I found interesting.

This is my last activity for the day and I enjoyed it! I choose Bungee jumping because its fun and I really want to do it! For me it would cost 115$ so in the future i would be doing bungee humping. Stay tuned for more posts!
