Today I have completed another task for the SLJ. This task was about learning about what pigpen cipher was and creating a pigpen cipher code. Pigpen cipher was a type of communication and was used back in the 18th century to send private messages to other bases. Pigpen cipher can be easily learnt by looking at how the layout is created. Each letter had its own little space, rather it was a square or a triangle, it will tell which letter is which. Letters from A - I are regular squares. Letters from H - R are squares but with dots in the middle. Letters from S - V are triangle shaped, and letters from W - Z are triangles with dots in the middle. I really enjoyed creating this activty as I was able to learn another way of communication.
