Rosa Parks Presentation

This wee for Inquiry we had to present our Activist presentation. our activist that we did was Rosa Parks. We had to get up in front of the class and present our presentation that we had worked on for the last 3 weeks. We had to write a speech to say instead of  reading off our screen. Victoria & I had to read out clearly to the class so that we could get positive comments. I was really nervous at first because it's not my thing to go up in front of loads of people and presenting. While I was presenting my part of the speech I was starting to go quiet so I made my voice go higher. I really enjoyed presenting my presentation.

Day 2 | Activity 3 | SLJ

This week for the Summer Learning Journey I have completed Day 2 Activity 3. This activity was where I had to use my Math skills. I had to figure out if I gave my cactus 3 ml of water everyday for a year, how much water have I given it from the start of the year to the end. This was difficult to solve but fun. I explained the answer 2 times because every 4 years we have a leap year. So we have an extra day in a leap year.

This week for the summer learning journey I have comepleted the second activity for Day 2. For this activity we had to find 3 sport teams that had the word "Fern" in their team name. We had to find a photo of their uniform and point out the fern on it. We had to also explain what uniform we liked the best and why we liked it the best. Down below is my D.L.O about the activity.

SSR Selfie

This week for SSR Selfie I have read the book "The Baby Sitters Club". I summarised every detail of what I read and recorded it onto the SSR Selfie slide. I read this book for 15 minutes and tried o record all of the details into my mind to remember and write down onto the slide. This book was very long so I had to get as much detail out as I could.

This week for the Summer learning journey I have done activity 1 of day 2. The activity we had to do was to say if we want to visit Tane Mahuta someday. We had to explain why we want to visit it or why we don't want to visit it.

I would like to visit the Tane Mahuta because I have read many stories/myths about it. I think that if I were to visit this tree I would experience how beautiful the tree is and how it became a story/myth.

Activity 2 | Summer Learning Journey | North and South

This week for the Summer Learning Journey I have completed the second activity. For this activity I had to describe my hometown and what is special about my hometown. We also had to include adjective's. Down below it will show the completed activity.

Whats special about my hometown is that it is a safe place, I know what happens in it. My hometown is small but calm and loud but peaceful. My hometown is where I can go if I am in trouble. My hometown is where I found who I am.
