Lightning never strikes twice, does it?
That was the question that occupied their frightened minds as they crouched, huddling together, next the pile of dusty sacks in the base of the windmill.
Lightning Disaster:
Lightning never strikes twice, does it? We asked that question because we were afraid and scared that if the lightning struck again, it would be x10 worse than the first one. Sam and I (Cat) were the only ones that were inside of the windmill. A windmill was not the safest place for us to shelter in during a storm because the turbines are tall and lightning strikes the tallest thing around. We started to question if we should’ve visited this windmill or not. We made stupid decisions like not check the weather before leaving, and not bringing supplies to keep us warm. We were feeling really scared and frightened but we stayed calm. We had seen a thunderstorm before because we acted mature and didn't act stupid, but this storm was so enormous that we tried to keep our cool. The storm started to ease off so we started preparing to make a run for it to our campsite. THE END.
To start off Term 3 we started with writing. This week for writing we have taken a look at a picture with a little story starter, we used the information from the description to create a story, we also got some questions to help us write it. My story consist of the characters Sam & Cat. It is about them visiting a windmill that was near their camp site, a storm headed towards them, and they questioned if they had made the right choice. They didn't check the weather so they got a storm unexpectedly.
