This week I have decided to do another Care Award activity. This activity was for a silver attitude. This activity was where I had to make a presentation about PHN's and tell other people how they can help us. Our school also has a PHN as our students do get sick. Our PHN's are Dr. Lavania and Dr. Sue. This activity was fun to do, as I got to tell people how PHN's can help us. The people I told were Victoria and Ellenora.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teacher is Mrs Anderson.

Kiwi Can
This week Wednesday we had our third session of Kiwi Can. Our teachers were Ms. Paige and Mr Alabati. We had a little chat of what we talked about last week. We talked about how we could show Active listening and positive communication. Before we could talk more about our theme and topic, we got straight into our energiser. Our Energiser was called Fruit salad. We had 4 commands, The four commands were Apple, Pear, Banana and Watermelon. For Apple we had to move our hips to the left, For pear we had to move our hips to the right, For Banana we had to move our hips backwards and For Watermelon we had to move our hips forward. This game was based around our theme Active Listening. We had to listen carefully for the commands. This was a fun game to play because it was challenging. After the game we talked about who we communicate with. I say that we could communicate with our Friends, parents, Grandparents, sisters, brothers etc. After talking about that we got to talk about active listening. We talked about how we could show that we are actively listening. We can show active listening by not fiddling with ourselves when the teacher is talking. Also we can show active listening by giving eye contact to the speaker. After that we played our activity. Our activity was called Neg/Pos Roleplay. This activity was where we were given a paper and it would have something written on it. My group got a paper saying "A Rugby/ Netball coach yelling at a child for missing a pass" We had to make that into a positive response. This activity was fund to do because it tells us about the negative things and Positive things that could happen.

Research on someone who has a positive attitude despite difficulties they have faced | Care Awards
This week I did my first Attitude care award activity. This activity was where I had to choose someone who has a Positive attitude despite any difficulties they have faced. I chose Sophie Pascoe because I know that when she was young her leg got cut off. She is an amazing lady who didn't give up on her dream. I love the fact that she still went after what she wanted after what she went threw as a child. This activity has earned me my first step to getting a Silver Attitude badge.
