Today I have decided to do another book for the LS2 READING CHALLENGE. The topic that this book is under was "Short story". This book that I chose is called Minions. Down below is a small summary about what the book is about. This book is based on the animated feature.

Summary - Minions were born for one, and only one, reason to serve the most evil of villiains. But when Scarlet Overkill sends a trio of minions to steal the queen's crown jewels, Bob messes up... and becomes the new king of England! Long live King Bob!

That was a short summary of the book that I had read. This was an interesting book to read because I know the movie, and it feels like i'm watching the movie but reading instead. I recommend this book because you never know what will happen next.

LS2 READING CHALLENGE | Book 10

Today I have decided to do another topic for the LS2 Reading Challenge. The topic that I have chosen is News Paper Article. The news paper article that I chose was called "West ticket claims $8m" Down below will be my summary of this article.

Summary - This article explains the winning of couples. This started off with the young man receiving a email from lotto saying "You have won the Saturday night's draw." The man watched the lotto add that came up. The power ball came up with his 5 numbers, he was hopping that the last number was to be 24. It was, he was full of excitement. He yelled for his partner to hear the great news. She then found out and had a similar reaction that her partner did. They had planned that they would first buy a home for themselves and their younger child. They thought that with the money they would share some with their family and use some to travel to Bora Bora. When they told their family about the great news, they were so happy for them.

That was the summary of the article that I read. This article was quiet interesting to read. I found this article shocking as this man had VERY Good luck to have won the lotto.

LS2 READING CHALLENGE | Book 9

Ghosts
This week I have decided to do another book for the LS2 READING CHALLENGE. The book topic I have chosen is comic book. The book I chose is Ghost by Raina Telgemeier. This book is about a girl named Catrina. Down below is a summary about the book I read.

Summary -
Catrina and her family are moving to the coast of Northern California because her little sister, Maya, is sick. Cat isn't happy about leaving her friends for Bahía de la Luna, but Maya has cystic fibrosis and will benefit from the cool, salty air that blows in from the sea. As the girls explore their new home, a neighbour lets them in on a secret: There are ghosts in Bahía de la Luna. Maya is determined to meet one, but Cat wants nothing to do with them. As the time of year when ghosts reunite with their loved ones approaches, Cat must figure out how to put aside her fears for her sister's sake - and her own.

I recommend this book because it is always interesting to find out what will happen on the next page. This book was interesting because of the photos that were shown on each page. My favourite part of this book is when they discover the ghost somewhere in/outside their house.

Reading | Tsunami's | Know, What, learn

This week for reading our task was to read another text about a topic. We were told to write K, W and L on the top of each paper that was laid in front of us. K stands for Know, W stands for What and L stands for learn. Under K, we wrote down the things we already knew about the topic. Under W, we wrote the questions we wanted to get an answer to. Last was L, Under L we wrote the things that we learnt about the topic. This week our topic was Tsunami's. We wrote know about 4 pieces of information that we had already known. Then our teacher read out a text that had a mix of facts and information about tsunami's. We also had another piece of paper that was for words that we wanted to find out the meaning to. In the first text that was read to us, we didn't understand about 3 words. We were then read another text that had way more words that we didn't understand. We found about 4 or 5 words that were clueless to us. Last our teacher read facts that were provided on the reading page. We were then sent to work in workspace 3 to write down more information about tsunami's. We looked up a tsunami that had happen in japan in 2011. Sandra and I were the ones who did the most work. The 2 boys were more interested on their own thing. At the end of the whole session we had 7 pages full of what we Know, Wanted to find out about and what we learnt. This weeks reading was very fun and interesting to do.

This book is about a girl named Ella, Ella's nana (Nana Kate) won 4 tickets for 4 people to go on a luxury cruise. This cruise had swimming pools, Shopping mall, Ice skating and best of all there was NO school for a whole week. Nana Kate won the tickets by letting Ella write a poem in 25 words on why they wanted to go on this luxury cruise. They won! The people that were planned to go were Nan Kate, Nana Kate's Bff, Ella & Olivia, But mum said that Olivia can't go because she had a school camp on that same week. Olivia had a tantrum and stomped to her room and Barricaded the door. Ella's little brother Max couldn't go either because he get sea sick. Nana Kate then suggested if Ella wanted Zoe to come. Ella jumped up and down like her dog does when something exciting is happening. Ella said "YESSSSSSS", and  Nana kate chuckled. They then packed for the big day, Ella had already told Zoe over the phone. Before you knew it, they finished packing. Nana Kate asked them if they remembered EVERYTHING that they wanted to bring. Few days later, it was the day to go on luxury Cruise ship.

Kiwi Sport | Ki O Rahi

This week we did another lesson of Ki O Rahi. We had our coach Shanice. Shanice told us that we will be focusing on the group Kioma, But we still got into the team Taniwha. We got to play golden child first. How golden child works: Taniwha team will stand outside of Te Roto. There will also be the other team (Kioma). They will be making a line, the person at the front of the line has to hold a ball. Then the game will start. The person with the ball in Taniwha has to run around the Te Roto and touch the Poe with the ball. Kioma team has to use the key to throw at the Tupu. There is also the Kaitiaki. The Kaitiaki is the guardian. The Kaitiaki's have to keep an eye on the ball, they have to try not make the key hit the Tupu. If the key hits the Tupu then the group that is hitting the ball at Tupu has to scream our Motu. When they scream out Motu then the group with the ball has to stop and throw the ball to the next person in the line. The last person in the line is the Golden child. If the key hits the Tupu while the golden child is running, then they are out and they don't score.
