20 Verbs - Perfect Tense | Perfect Future, Perfect Present, Perfect Past

L.I to identify verb tenses

This week for writing we had to do 20 verbs. Our tense was Perfect tense. The types were Perfect future, Perfect present and Perfect past. We had to do 7 videos for 7 of the verbs and if we wanted we could make 13 photos. We had to work in partners. My partner was Victoria. We had to write down 20 verbs that we haven't used for the last 3 weeks. For Perfect Future the sentence would have been "We will have been clapping" The added words were "Will", "Have" and "ing". For Perfect present the sentence was "We will have been Clapping" The added words were "Have", "Been" and Ing". For Perfect Past the sentence was "We had been clapping" The added words were "Had", "Been" and "Ing".

Find, Draw, Animate and Act

L.I To find, draw, animate and act.

This week for reading we did the task Find, Draw, Animate and Act. This task was where we had to pick a word that we don't know about and rather Find an Image of the word, Draw out the word, make an animation of the word or make a video of the word. We were given 4 words to start off with. The words were Thwart, Opulent, Encroach and fetid. We had to choose what word to work on. I did the word encroach. Encroach means when someone invades your personal space/Privacy. I Made an Animation of the word encroach. For this task we had to work in a group of 3. Everyone in the group had to be from different reading groups. In my group was Victoria and Kaitlyn. After we did the 4 words we had to go on a list that Mr Wong provided on the class site. The site had words from A - Z. We had to choose one word from all of the words. It had to be a word we didn't know. I chose the word pretentious. We found out a lot about words that we didn't know about. For each word I did, it was very interesting to find out the information on what it meant.

Kiwi Sport

L.I To listen and respect the person who is talking

This week for Kiwi Sport we had to listen to our instructor Pax. We had to pay very close attention because if we didn't we had to go back to doing our work. We did a few combos too. This is our last session of Boxing so we had to recap with everything that we learnt with Pax.  I was in a group of 3. In my group was Victoria and Ellenora. 2 of us put on the gloves and 1 person had to hold the noodles. Me and Ellenora were wearing the gloves while Victoria was with the noodles. We did one combo at a time. We learnt new combos. They were Jab,Jab,Cross, Bridge, Cross, | Jab,Jab Cross, Guard, Cross | Jab, cross Left hook, roll and left hook. We had to memorise the combos so that we could do them with our partners.

Cybersmart

L.I To find the wanted and unwanted needs in a blog post blurb.

This week we had cyber smart. For cyber smart this week we had to find a blog post from our blog and use it to find wanted and unwanted needs. The blurb I used was from when I learnt about angles. I thought that this blog post was very good and didn't have much mistakes. We had to highlight the parts where we could find the wanted and unwanted parts. I really enjoyed finding my best blog post. I also really enjoyed highlighting the needed parts.

Steampunk art

L.I To be creative when drawing steam punk art.
This week we went up to LS2 to do some art. The art was called Steampunk art. We had to look at a presentation that Mrs Anderson showed us. It had pictures of steampunk art. It looked cool. We had to get a pencil and paper. We had to draw a design from google. I drew a hat. It had machinery things like a clock, clog, bicycle wheel and a feather. We could design our Steampunk art anyway we wanted to. We can be creative with our design. When we finished we had to show the teacher. I was very proud of my design. We were not allowed to trace, therfore we could not have the exact same design.

Maori | Nga Taone o Te Ika a Maui

This week we had Maori. This week for Maori we listened to Maori Christmas carols. We listened to about 5 songs. Some of the songs were the same as the English version. We were shared a document called Nga Taone o Te Ika a Maui. We had to find the meanings of words. To find the words we had to use site like Maori dictionary or translate.

Biography | Alice Paul | Peace

L.I To make a Biography on an Activist.

This week for Inquiry we had to make an interactive biography. The biography had to be about a person who worked with people to make a change. I chose to do a biography on Alice Paul because she was one of the women who fought for women rights. She became a suffragist to earn peoples rights. I added an interactive question that people can answer. The question was about what Alice Paul worked as. You had 3 options to choose from. If you click on the wrong answer it will send you to a slide that says incorrect. If you chose the right answer it will send you to a page where it says Correct. We had to attribute any images we used and we had to link the sites we use to find the information.
