Art Week

Last week starting from Monday the students of PBS did Pop Art. LS1 learnt about Andy warhol and what he use to do as a living.We did it for art intensive week this was the first art that  we have done this year art this year, We were like kind of inspired by Andy Warhol himself. It was called Pop art, Pop art stands for Popular art, Andy warhol was a great artist. I learnt a lot from him, The school focused on doing Art for the whole entire week. I am pretty sure everyone was tired.

First thing we did for Art was that we had to trace the black parts of the photo and then we had to go to the back of the paper and we had to shade in the parts that you can see where  you put the blue pen on. Later on we had to get a blank piece of paper and tape it to the bottom of the photo that you put shading on.

Next we had to turn the paper over and trace the black part again with a red pen. Last you have to take off the tape from the paper and see if you have written down your face or whatever you have traced with red pen it will show up on the blank paper. After we have showed the teacher our finished pencil traced face thing we had to pick a colored pastel and color the white bits on your photo. Last we had to use black paint to paint over the black parts of the paper with the pastel on it.  

The first person to finish was Farzana. The pastel and paint on her photo looked exactly like her.  When I finished I felt Great because I would always be tired of drawing in pastel because my hand would always hurt. Also when we had to do the researching I felt great because I found out a lot about Andy Warhol. Last I felt Wonderful because when I finished it felt amazing and It felt amazing to blog about what we had to do. That’s how we learnt how to make pop art.

L.I to write a recount on Art Week.

I learnt how to write a recount about Art Intensive Week. I learnt it by remembering the steps that we did for our photos and what we had to go over. The hardest things for me to remember was the bit where we had to go over the black parts again with the red pen. Other then that I liked what I wrote and how I wrote it.

Kiwi Sport

This week for Kiwi Sport we played a game that was simmilar to the real softball game. First things we did as a warm up and that was to run to the park, run around it and then come back. After that our instructor Ash gave a a number 1 or 2 and if you were 1 you had to get a glove and run to the field. If you got a number 2 then you could get in line to be ready to bat. I was a number 1 so I had to get the glove and go to the field. The first person to bat had to go to the front and pick up the bat and hit the ball. Once that person hit the ball then the fielding people have to try and get the ball back to home bass before the runner get their.

Math Subtraction

L.I to learn how to subtract numbers in different ways.
I learnt how to subtract equations in 3 of 4 separate ways. I learnt it by using a number line,Place value and more. The easiest one was the number line. I think the hardest was the place value. I worked with Charlize for this. I did 203 - 187 and she did 783 - 395. My answer for my equation was 16. Her answer was 388.

Emblem flag/ Samongcaland

L.I to make a flag/Emblem for an example of the Olympic flags.
I learnt this by finding out what culture my group was. I worked with Miiana,Sione A,Angelica and Liletina. When I found out everyone's culture we put on the little parts of the flag and we put it on the D.L.O. I learnt this by looking up the country's flag and finding out how to make the flag on the D.L.O. The countries we put on were New Zealand,Tonga,Samoa and America. Samongcaland explanation is Sam stands for Samoa, ong stands for Tonga, ca stands for America and last land stands for New Zealand.

L.I to learn how predictions are made and what are predictions and how to make a prediction.

I learnt about what predictions are and what kind of predictions they might be.I learnt it by having to look at the tittle of the book and the picture of it and some other things about it. I thought it was about a dad that wanted to go to pick soem puha but the daughter and wife are sick but the dad doesn't know about it.

Kiwi Can

Today for Kiwi can our topic was Leadership and our theme was positive relation ship. Our games we played were Paper,scissors Rock and Charades. For charades we had to be in a group of three and we had to have one person go to the kiwi can leaders and they will tell us to act out something and the rest of the group have to try and guess what the person is acting out. When everyone has done and they know the answer everyone has to say the answer out loud and then the kiwi can leaders would have to pick you and the rest of the teams have to stop and the a new person would have to go up and do the next one. To play rock paper scissors you had to find a partner and play rock,paper,scissors and who ever won would be in front of the person who lost and the person who lost would have to go behind the person that won and put their hands on the winners shoulder and then the winner would have to challenge other people with rock,paper,scissors.
