This week I completed day 3, activity 3. This is the activity
On your blog, list 10 species (animals or plants) that you would protect from extinction. For each one, give a reason as to why you think it is important to protect.
Polar bears - I would save these because they are very endangered
seals - I would save Seals because they help the eco system with different matters and because there are only a limited amount and its not very fair taking pups white fur for clothing.
owls - I would save owls because they are very cute.
tigers - The tiger is a unique animal which plays a pivotal role in the health and diversity of an ecosystem.
Turtles - I would save turtles because not many people take care of them, people don't pay much attention to them.
Gorilla - Because Gorilla's are a lot like us.
Monkeys - Because who wouldn't love a climbing monkey?
Kakapo - Because their are not much of Kakapo left and we need to get more.
Hello Florence,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for finishing this activity. The 10 things that you have listed are amazing. I liked it how you have given a reason to each of these animals. Next time I would do that. Thanks for that. I chose Tigers too. Which one is your most favourite? And why?
Keep it up!
Hello Florence,
ReplyDeleteI think that you reasons to why you choose those animals are awesome. The animal you choose that caught my eyes was the kakapo because I know that there is not much of them left in New Zealand. Keep it up!
Kia ora Florence,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Hazel and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) team. Wow, you have really powered through the programme. I am very impressed that you have already finished the programme.
To earn full points for this activity, you need to list ten species that you would want to preserve and protect. I can only count eight on your list. Can you think of two more animals or plants that you would want to save?
If it were me, I would definitely protect elephants because they are my favourite animals, and strawberries because they are my favourite fruit.
I hope that you have enjoyed the Summer Learning Journey, and keep up the great commenting.
Hazel :)
