Urban Planning | Reaserching skills
This week for inquiry we had to get into groups of 3. I was working with Miiana and Alayah. We had to make a presentation on pesestrian crossings,Traffic lights and Roundabouts. I worked on traffic lights. We had to find information like where was the first place to have these things, who invented them and things like that. We wrote lots of information. Once we did that we had to make a video on the information that we found. I was the only one from our group to record the video because Alayah needed to do something and Miiana wasn't here to record.

Snag golf
This week for Snag Golf we used the putters again. We learnt how to hit the ball threw obstacles. We had to get into a group of 3 people, In my group was Victoria and Angelica. We had to do a recap on what we did last week. Then we had to make our own obstacle course and make a goal for completing each course. We made an obstacle course that would have 2 cones to get pass and then the target where the ball has to get through, Last the ball has to stick on the bucket in the back of the target. If you got past the cones that's one point, if you get pass the target then that's another point and last if you get the ball on the bucket then that's one points. So you have to try and get 3 points.

Kiwi Can
This week at Kiwi Can we did a recap on what we talked about last week. Once we finished talking about that we went straight on with our energizer. The name of the Energizer was Hoop de Hoop. To play you need to have a hoops forming a half circle. Then you need to have a line of people and then the people in the front have to run in the hoops and once the two people have met up in the circles then you have to play rock paper scissors shoot. Who ever wins the Rock paper Scissors Shoot can keep running. The Winner is person who gets to the other gets to the other teams starting point. In our game tam 1 won. I was in tam one, I also got us a point for our group. I don't know what happen in the activity because I left to go somewhere. But then I came back to GKQ and the pizza points. We behaved so good that we got 5 points for every subject.

L.I: To make a City Scrape
Today for Monday LS1 did a City Scrape. We had to grab a city scrape photo and we had to go over it with black squares. When we finished we had to grab some colored paper and a big black paper.
When we got it we had to choose one of the papers to be the background. When i did that i cut some small rectangles to give it some details. When i finished the background i got my solawit and i placed it on so it can give extra detail to my City Scrape.
The solawit was the main detail to this City Scrape. Some students in LS1 has finished there art task. Nicole, Victoria, Farzana and Me were sharing the glue so we were mostly working as a group.

Dancing Mat | Typing
This week I have done dancing mat as one of my daily 6. Dancing mat helps me to type faster so that I can do more work. I chose to learn the home row keys first. I found keeping my fingers on the correct keys and trying to type the words. When I finish all of the levels/steps then I will probably be good at typing.

Snag Golf | Kiwi Sport
This week for Kiwi Sport we learnt 3 things about putting. One of them was to tick tok like a clock, so swing your arms and the putt like a clock. The second one was to stay perpendicular when putting and last was to the gripping of the putt. So to hold the putt you need to have the hand you write with closest to the bottom and your non hand writing hand on the top. We had to get into groups of 3 people, I got into a group with Victoria and Alayah. We had to try and putt the ball to the target. I hit the target on all of my tries, I was really impressed. Victoria only got one snag and Alayah got none. We only got a little bit of time so we only got to have one round of Snag Golf. But in the little time that we had it was really fun.

Cuchulainn | lesson | Story | myth
This week for reading we had to pick a warrior/character to work on as our must do. This week I choose Cuchulainn, He is an Irish hero that had giving his people what they wanted by defeating every battle he had. In my D.L.O I included Who Cuchulainn was, photos of Cuchulainn and what the story of Cuchulainn was about. I provided a link to the story I read because that will let people access the story. This was simmilar to the 2 other reading D.L.O's that I have done, which were The Tengu story and the Maui Story.
Kiwi Can
This week at kiwi can we have a new topic which is Problem Solving. We talked about how we can solve problems, what might have gone wrong and how the problems were solved. We went straight into our energiser which was called human knots. This is where you have to be in a goup of 6 or more and you have to left up one of your hands and grab someone elses hand. Then do the same with the other hand but you have to grab someone elses hand. Then you should be in a knot with everyone in your group. So you then have to get into a circle without letting go of each others hands. If you let go of each others hand then you have to restart. My group was lucky enough because we won the game, we got into a circle without letting go of each others hands. It took us a very long time but we finished in the end. Our Activity was called Dodge ball. To play you need a ball and a bunch of people forming a circle. Then you will be in 5 groups and what ever number has been called you need to run to the middle and the people that are forming the circle need to try and get all of the people in the middle out. The winner is the last person standing in the middle.

Sky Tower Visit
This week the seniors of Panmure bridge school went to Sky city to visit the Sky tower. We went to the sky tower because it was for us to learn more about structures for our Inquiry topic (Structures). We were split into 2 group which were Group A and Group B. Group B went to the observation room first. We had a great tour/sight seeing in the room because we could look out into the city. Group A went to the little theater room to watch a construction video about how the sky tower was built and lots of facts about it. In Group B we were handed a activity sheet to complete and a pencil. On the activity sheet we had to fill out the places that we could find on the answer sheet. The answer sheets were scattered around the whole of the observation room. In the theater Group A got to do a Q+A to test their facts and what they learnt during the other videos.
Group B then went to see the refugee room. The room was so that if there were to ever be an emergency then you could use that room to keep safe. There was a orange cupboard that had things to keep people from getting bored like puzzles, coloring books and heaps more. Group A went to the Observation room to do all the fun things we did. Once Group B finished mucking around in the refugee room we went to the theater to do the fun things Group A did. We got to watch a fast forward video on how the Sky tower was built. After we got to do the Q+A. Once we finished that there was a prize for the person who could answer a question correctly. Karlos got the prize for answering the question correctly. So that was that we were then waiting for Group A so that we could go back to school.

Multiplication | Daily 6
This week I have decided to do another Daily 6. It is my multiplication, I have done stage 1 or 2 but I have done my 11 time tables. I had to write it down 5 times for extra credit. I found writing down the multiplication facts hard because it took a long time to do. But I think that this helps me because I can learn more time tables each week.

Map of Bridges
L.I to find the location of where the bridges were located in.
This week for Inquiry we had to find what country or where the bridges we used from last week were located in. We had to do 5 - 10 bridges. I have done 10 bridges, most of them were from New Zealand. We had to use Google maps to do this. We had to add a photo of the bridge we were using and add the information about the bridge. I had a lot of fun doing this. I liked doing this because I can learn more about bridges across the world.
Maui | Lessons
L.I to search information about Maui.
This week for reading we had to do research on information about Maui. I have made a similar D.L.O that I did last week for the Tengu. But the only difference was that we were not allowed to work in partners and that we could only write about one story. The story we used was"Maui and the Sun". I wrote down the questions that were provided on the LS1 Site and I wrote down my answers. Then I wrote about who Maui is. Also I added what the purpose of the Maui and the sun was. Last I added what the book "Maui and the sun" was about.

Angles and Degrees
L.I to identify and construct right, acute and obtuse angles.
L.I Begin to appreciate the degree, unit of measurement of angle.
L.I Know the degree value of angles that are simple fractions of a whole turn. L.I Know that the angle at a point is 360°
This week for Maths we had to demonstrate the different angles were. The angles that we used were Right angle,Acute & Obtuse angles, Reflex angles and the straight angle. We learnt the degrees for each of the angles. The Right angle in degrees was 90,The degree for Acute was 0- 90 degrees,The degree for Obtuse was 90- 180 degrees, the degree for the reflex angle was 180-360 degree and last the straight angle in degrees was 180.We also played these games to help with our demonstration. The games were Angle aliens and Water Gun. They helped because they all include angles.

L.I To write a narrative in 40 minutes.
This week for writing we had to write a narrative in 40 minutes. We had arange of photos to write a narrative about. I chose the photo with a girl at a baseball game. My Narrative is about a girl who gets embarrased for running around the square when the game hadn't started. But then her friends has an Idea, IT WORKED. We had 40 minutes to write this because it was a test for the real test that we are having next term. Next term I am hoping to get a score then I did at the start of the year.

This Vs That | Bridges
L.I To do research on bridges.
This week for inquiry we had to do a This Vs That D.L.O. I worked with Charlize for this weeks inquiry. The activity was based on the panmure bridge. We had to do 3 This Vs That activitys. The first one was to do research on the panmure bridge and the auckland harbour bridge. The second one was to do research of another bridge in NZ. Charlize and I chose the Balclutha Road bridge because it's design got our attention. The third This Vs That was to find a bridge in a different country. We chose the Golden Gate Bridge. We found out that the bridge was from the united states of America. On the This Vs That D.L.O you had to say whent he bridges were built, The length,Span,Height and width of the bridge,Cost of the bridge, materials that the bridge was made of and the type of bridge that the bridge is. I really enjoyed completeing this activity because I can use my smart searching skills to find out information about things.

Snag Golf/ Kiwi Sport
This week for kiwi Sport we had snag golf again. This week we finally got to use the putters after 2 weeks practice we have done pretty good at putting the ball on the target. I was woriking in a group of three with Raera and Nicole. On the first activity we had to try and get the balls into the hoop by swinging our bodies. The second activity was if you got the ball n the water/blue part then thats minus 1 point. If the ball land on the red then that means you have to have another roll. If the ball missed completely then thats another roll. But if it lands on the yellow scream "SNAG!". The third activity had the putter included. So with the putter you have to putt the ball so that it lands on the yellow/Target. My group got the first round winning with 7 points. My group did pretty well so I am proud of them.

L.I to Describe what photos look like.
This week for Cybersmart we did some more learning on Media. This week we edited our photos and made new word clouds because some of LS1 didn't understand what to do for the photos. One of those people were me because I didn't understand anything about the photos. We had to use word cloud to write down the words of what the photo describes in a way. The photos had to be about a photo that is suitable for a blog post and a photo that is suitabl for friends and family. Our goal was to write out 20 - 40 words.

Kiwi Can
L.I To set a goal to sucseed in life.
This week for Kiwi Can we did a recap on what we did last week. We talked about how we might celebrate if we achived our goal. I think that I could have some time alone and sleep/eat. The games we playd were Snatch and Octopus. To Snatch you need some rope and some cones. You need the rope to be formed into a circle and bunch of cons in the middl of the rope. Thn youwant to have some music playing. While the music is playing you need to dance around the rope. When the music stops you have to try and snatch a cone. But you are not allowed to dive to get the cone and you are not allowed to be on your knees while the music is playing. The winner is the last person with th last cone.
To play octopus you need to have a hoop and a person holding 2 pool noodles inside of the hoop. Then you want to seperate the girls from the boys. So boys on one end and the girls on the other. Then you need the girls and boys have to get to the other end without getting hit with the pool noodles. If you get taged thn you need to stay in the spot you were taged in. Th winner is the last person not taged. At the end of the day we did GKQ (General Knowldge Questions.) W got 21.5 points for our pizza point. So next week we will need to work on being respectful.

L.I to add fractions that have different denominators. This week for Maths we learnt how to add fractions that have different denominators. I made a slide presentation on how to add fractions. I used the fractions 3/5 + 4/5. I found out, after a lot of hard thinking that my answer cam up to 50/60. Which is 50 over 60. We had to use multiplication and addition in the explanation.

Snag golf
This week for Kiwi sport it was our second session of our first Sport for Term 3. It was Snag golf. What we learnt was that when we were to hold a golf club we have to move our body to swing. We practiced that by holding a ball and swinging our arms. We also practiced by swinging our body. With the ball we had to throw/roll the ball to the target. If we hit the target we get 0 points. THe goal was to get 0 points. I was in a group of three with Victoria and Alayah. On the first Activity we had to throw/Roll the ball on the target. On the second activity we had to have our toes facing the hall door witch was the right and then swing our arms then throw/roll the ball and see if it landed on the target. On the last activity we had to roll the ball into the hoop. We had 2 turns to get the ball in the goal for all three of the activitys. But next week we might be using the golf club. We will be practicing how to swing our body to swing the golf club to make the ball go on the target.

This week for inquiry we had to do research on the Panmure bridge. We found out that the Panmure bridge was changed over years. We have completed a slide presentation that had images of the panmure bridge and we had to write why we chose the photos and how it grabs our attention. Also we had to write out years of when the Panmure bridge was changing through out years. Also We wrote how the Panmure bridge changed how people lived in the area. Narrative
Link to Narrative This week for writing we had to write a narrative about a lost family camp out. My narrative was about kids getting lost because the parent walked off without noticing that the kids were being distracted by a rare NZ Bird. The kids then started to look around for their parents but then had to sit out one night. The next morning they saw 2 figures and the figures ran towards the kids and found out that the figures were the parents. We had to write a short narrative, So basically a narrative that we would be able to write in a test (40 minutes) So that was what is was about and what we had to do.

Kiwi Can
This week for Kiwi Can we have a new topic and theme. The new topic is goal setting and our new theme is resilience. The games we played were ball trouble and snatch. To play snatch you need to have belts to tuck in your pockets. Then you need some people. So then you have to spread out. Then someone has to say 3,2,1 GO and then everyone can go and try to snatch the other peoples belts out of their pockets. If someone snatches your belt off you then you are out and if your belt accidentally falls out then you are automatically out. The winner is the last person with their tag on. Now for ball trouble you need to find a partner. There will be 2 balls to play with. You and your partner has to try and get the ball to the other side but you have to use your body parts and not your hands. For Example: You and your partner need to hold the ball using your back, You and your partner need to hold the ball with you head, so basically with your body parts. After you playing the games we had a talk of what some goals we would like to achieve when we are older. We also talked about small goals we could try and achieve and some big goals we can achieve.
