Q+A


l.I to assess Author's purpose and determine the reliability of information given in the text. I learnt what a type of text was they were Procedrul, Information report, Explanation, Narrative, Recount and Persuasive. I learnt it when I was sitting on the mat while Mr Wong was talking about what kind of type of text their were there was 6 types of text.

Explanation


L.I to identify an explanation text through it's features. What is an Explanation text? - An explanation text tells your audience how something works or why something happens. The structure and language feature are
Title Introduction Explanation Conclusion- TIEC. Title,Introduction,Explanation and Conclusion. <-Talking about a specific topic with information about that topic.

Zombie Game Recount

Writing purpose:
Writing focus:
Writing: We got told the rules of the zombie game.
Next We went outside to line up and get ready to go on the field, Once we went on the field Mr Wong said for everyone but the JK Rowling group to get a belt and tag.
Then Mr Wong took out his phone to get a timer ready and then he said 3,2,1 go and everyone went wild and started to run from the JK Rowling group. I ran somewhere in the barriers and ran as quick as I could so that the taggers don’t tag me. Everyone was so happy to play this game I think that because people were shouting with joy. Everyone was slowing down and . Mr Wong said for every group to have a turn at being the zombies. Last We were told to take off our belts and give them to Viliami and Karlos and Giovanni. If we wanted to we could go and get a drink of water then go back to class and sit on the mat in Work space 1.I think when each team had to run after every I think everyone was tired and was thirsty.


L.I to write a recount about a game that was just played. I learnt how to write a recount that has figurative language and Time order. I had to make a recount about a game that we payed outside on the field. It was a zombie game. To play the game you need to have a group of people not wearing tag and another group of people that are wearing tags and then the group of people that are not wearing tags are trying to take of the tags of the people that have tags on and then one person will be the person who does a timer and checks everything. The Next thing you have to do is to change people over to be the taggers. The group of taggers have to take off everyone's tag to be able to stop the time. For our groups Dr Dahl won with 35 seconds my group came 3 with 41 second. Yeah so that is how you play the zombie game.

Anpanman

 LI. To prioritize tasks and collaborate to complete a job on time. This week for Cybersmart we had to work on a DLO by collaborating as a group. We had to work four more partners, in my group there are Farzana, Pua, Afatia, Sakina and I. We had to give jobs out to the people in our groups. We had the choice between Anpanman and Doraemon. We chose Anpanman. I think Anpanman is a kind fictional character. We had to create a google slide presentation about the following character we chose, and then we had to blog about how we prioritized and collaborated to complete the task.

Written form


L.I to learn how to subtract by using a written form.
I learnt how to subtract equations by using a written form. We had 2 must do's to do they were the Math game that we got told from Mr Ogilvie. The next must do was the Written form Slides that you subtracted the equations. I have provided a video of the game that I showed how to play and the slide with the Math Subtraction Written form.

Commonwealth Games


L.I to lean how to make a Commonwealth games D.L.O with facts on it.
Today for Inquiry we had to make a DLO about the Commonwealth games. What we had to do is provide a map where it is, How far it is from Panmure Bridge School, How long does it go for, How many countries are competing, Provide the Logo, Motto for this years game, Provide information on 3 NZ medallist from this game, The last one is Sophie Pascoe. That's what you have to research about the commonwealth game. For this DLO I was working with Sione A, Florence, Liletina, Angelica and I. We were working as a group with the DLO but all of us had each things to research about each thing and write information about it with headings.

LS1 Olympics


L.I to learn how we can cooperate with people while competing with them.
I learnt how to cooperate with people and how to make a D.L.O about it. I worked with Nicole,Liane,Alayah and Sandra. We all cooperated and worked on each slide to finish the Blog post I worked on 2 D.L.Os and Alayah did 2 Slide and Nicole did 1 and Sandra did 1 and Liane did 1 Slide. Their are rather 1 or 2 videos on each slide.

Kiwi Sport

Today we had Kiwi sport that was conducted by Mr Ogilvie our teacher. First what we did we had to get into partners of 2 and give yourself a number out of 1 or 2, I was number 1 and my partner Victoria was number 2. If you were a number one then you had to sit on the concrete in a line and you are batting and if you were number 2 then you would be fielding. I was 4 in line and I was felling nervous. When you are batting you have to have you partner pitching to you. The things you need to remember about batting is that make sure your little knuckles and aligned and are at the bottom of the bat and you must have your bat on your non dominant shoulder and have your hand that on top it has to go in the middle of you vision or so that your arms can swing easily. For Pitching you have to remember the 2 litters L and K so you have to do L first and then K and then rock star then Flick. Then when you hit the ball with the bat then you can run if you feel like you won't be able to make it around the basses then you can stop at any bass you want to stop at. So later during the game we finished playing pitching and batting so we moved on to a new game. In this game you have 3 softballs and you have to through them as far as you can and you would have to run when you have thrown all 3 balls you have to try and run to each bass and make it home without the 3 balls getting back to the person in front of you.

Whakatauki/Emblem/Motto


L.I to make a flag/Emblem for an example of the Olympic flags.
I learnt this by finding out what culture my group was. I worked with Miiana,Sione A,Angelica and Liletina. we had to put on our motto,Emblem and Whakatauki. The three languages that we used were Samoan,Tongan and New Zealand. Our motto was at the top of the whole D.L.O as the title and the emblem flag in the middle of the heart and the languages on the outsides of the heart.
