L.I To explore problem solving.
Today we have been making connections with problem solving through tangrams. Tangrams are ancient Chinese puzzle's. People would use tangrams to turn the shapes into animals and objects as a boredom cure in the earlier times. We used the tangrams to connect to problem solving after we lost our internet connection. We created these tangrams using A4 paper. We had 1 piece of paper that we were challenged to cut (with scissors) into 7 pieces, but these pieces were used to create all kinds of shapes, and objects like the image above (a cat). LS2 did this activity with LS1, we all enjoyed doing this activity as we were importunate due connection loss.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teacher is Mrs Anderson.

Maths Challenge
This week for maths we have been solving Maths Challenges that were set out from Mrs. Anderson. This question above is one of the 4 independent questions I completed. This activity was where we would solve 4 questions that we do by ourselves and then do another 1 with your math group, I worked with Taheesha. I solved this questions using the strategy Algorithm and Long Subtraction.
