Day 1: Activity 3: Dear Jacinda

Today I have completed my last activity for Day 1. This activity was to write a letter to Jacinda Ardern. Down below will be the letter and an issue I hope she could fix or work on.

Dear Jacinda,

I am writing this letter to you to ask you if you can fix a problem that has been noticed.  The problem that I have been interested in is Teacher Pay.  I think that you should do something about Teacher pay as Teachers work 6-7 hours a day and they get paid small amounts. Something you could do to help is move faster to resolve the arguments and protests.

Day 1: Activity 3: Scaling New Heights

Today I have completed my last activity for Day 1. This activity was to pick a Charity out of SPCA, Auckland City Mission, Air Rescue or OXFAM. Down below will be the Charity I chose and why I was interested in it.

The Charity I have chosen was the SPCA. I have decided to choose this charity as they help take care of abandoned animals or animals that people don't want anymore due to no time to look after them. I think that it's great that there is people out there that care about animal abandonment and injured animals.

Day 1: Activity 3: Big Friendly Giants

Today I have completed my last Activity for Day 1 of the Teaser Week. This activity was to listen to a video of David Williams reading a part from the book "The BFG" We then created a Google drawing and made a Character Description of the BFG. I used information from the video, online and descriptions of the book. I really enjoyed this activity because I was able to draw my own picture of the BFG and describe him.

Day 1 | Activity 3 | SLJ | Week 4

This week for the summer learning journey I completed day 1, activity 3. This is what we had to do for the activity On your blog, write a poem that describes your feelings about travelling to Beijing, China.

I look outside only to see polluted air.
 I felt like a disgrace that we didn't take care.
A lot of people have died from this air. 
I wonder how it will be for me to take care of care.

This week for the summer learning journey I have completed day 1, activity 3. This activity was where I had to make a graph showing the temperatures in 5 different countries. The countries were provided on the SLJ Site. We had to record the data from the site onto the graph. Down below is my finished and completed graph.
