Basic Facts Boxes | Subtraction Boxes
This week for Basic Fact Boxes I have finished all my subtraction boxes, so now I can move on to the multiplication boxes. I can now move onto the multiplication facts. I enjoyed doing the Addition and subtraction boxes. They were easy at first but then got harder during the times I did them. I think I am going to do pretty well with the multiplication.

Multiplication Poster
L.I to make a D.L.O explaining how to solve a maths problem using strategy.
L.I To prove how you got your answers and how you know they are right.
This week for maths we had to choose to make a Poster,Animation,Slide or a video. With those options we also had to choose what maths subject to use for those other options. I made a poster about Multiplication. My poster included the equation that I was solving, the place value strategy, the explanation of how to solve it and how I can prove my answers are right. I added a bit of fun and used a coloured background. My equation was 32 x 12 = ?

Basic Facts boxes
This week for my Can do I have done Basic Facts Boxes. This is where we can answer Addition questions or Subtraction questions. I have decided to do the Additions. Next week I will be doing my Subtractions. After a few weeks i will be up to my time tables. I filled out 10 boxes with Addition questions. Some of these questions were easy and some were not. This was where you had to write in an answer in the boxes and if you answer the question correctly it will show up with Correct. If you answer the question incorrectly it'll show up with Try again.

Fractions Problems
This week for Maths we had to make a slide. On the slide is 3 Math problems. These problems were kind of a copy from the Gloss Test questions. You need to try and figure out how to solve the question using a strategy. You are not allowed to use the same strategy for each questions. I worked in a group of 3. In my group was Victoria,Miiana and I. We all had different kinds of problems using different kinds of items. I used Berries,Victoria used Cookies and Miiana used beans.

Multiplication
L.I to use different strategies to solve an equation
This week for Math we had to create a slide presentation about multiplication. On the slide you had to include an actiivty for veiwers to interact with. That means we had to make a slide that can let people from around the world do an activty that you have made. In my D.L.O I included 3 equations for people to solve, but with those equations you had to use 3 different strategies to get the answer. Once you have got your answer you have to remove the circles to check that your answer(s) were right. Also on my D.L.O I included some strategies that I know. Those stategies can help you solve 2 of the equations, but you need to figure out a third one. I have linked some video's explaining how to do the two methos/Strategies. So you can check them out.

Finished Activity | Measurement
This week I have decided to pump the number of my blogpost by posting up a blog post of what I have done today. What I have done today is an Activity made by someone in LS1. We had to fill out a forms. In the form you had to fill out what we need Mr Ogilvie to cover up for us. I chose Money. So the money and Time group have to check out some peoples Activity that they made Last week. I have done an activity from Sakina. On her activities she ask people the conversion of the measurements. She also wrote the answers for people to see if there answers are correct. We had to move a circle to reveal the answer. I like how she added the Conversion part of measurement, also she added an explanation of the conversion. I really like her activity because it is easy and simple for people that don't know about Measurement and Conversion.

Digital Division | Multiply/Divide
This week I have done some digital Division. This is were I make a google draw and write down my division. Next week I will be doing harder divisions like mixing up the divisions. I have finally reached my division for 3,2 and 1. So I can move on to more division. I like doing division because it is really easy.

Math Vocabulary (Time)
This week for Maths we had to do a Vocabulary list. We could write as many words as we like, I did three, I chose Meridian,Am and Pm. I did some research on what some of these words meant. If it wasn't for my researching skills I would have not found out this information. I put these sentences in my own words so that it isn't copied and pasted, plus I don't copy things. I chose Am and Pm because I have heard those words a lot. I haven't heard of Meridian before so I chose to do research on it.

Multiplying fractions
L.I to multiply fractions to get the right answer. This week for maths we had to multiply fractions. The fraction that I multiplied was 3/5 and I timed it by 7, so 3/5 x 7. I worked my way to finding my answer. I had to demonstrate how to multiply a fraction.

Math Fractions Think board
L.I Count forwards and backwards to name a whole number. L.I Recognize the whole object, part of a object and equal parts and their names.I learnt about what a numerator and the denominator is. The numerator is how much parts/pieces you have and the Denominator is the lower number that is means how much parts/pieces you have altogether. The way that I remember the Numerator is by calling it number and for the denominator I would call it Divider/Decrease. Our must do was to blog our think board. On the think board we had to show a fraction with equipment, Show with a fraction, Other names to call a fraction and a word story about the fraction you chose.

Japanese and Lattice methods
This week for math we had to solve two questions using the timetables that Mr Ogilvie has set up for us. The equations are 19 x 17 and 32 x 23. We also had to make a D.L.O using the knowledge that we have learnt. We could make a video off Screen castify. We had to make a google slide and explain how to make the two methods. The fastest and easiest would be the lattice method which is the box one because you don't need to draw so much stuff, but the Japanese method is more time taking.

Volume and Capacity/Flip grid
This is the link to my video
This week for math we had to measure millileters. I measured two plastic containers the first container was 200ml and the second one was 220ml. In the video we had to explain what volume and capacity means. We had to record on flip grid.

Written form
I learnt how to subtract equations by using a written form. We had 2 must do's to do they were the Math game that we got told from Mr Ogilvie. The next must do was the Written form Slides that you subtracted the equations. I have provided a video of the game that I showed how to play and the slide with the Math Subtraction Written form.

Math Subtraction Place Value
L.I to use a place value house to solve Subtraction.
I learnt how to solve a subtraction equation but using a Place value house. I learnt it by getting the equation from the math site. After that I got the slide and made a copy. Then I made the place value and made the Place value house to solve the subtraction. Last I solved the 1.8 + 2.7 and I found the answer by using the Place value house.

Math Subtraction
L.I to learn how to subtract numbers in different ways.
I learnt how to subtract equations in 3 of 4 separate ways. I learnt it by using a number line,Place value and more. The easiest one was the number line. I think the hardest was the place value. I worked with Charlize for this. I did 203 - 187 and she did 783 - 395. My answer for my equation was 16. Her answer was 388.

Rounding Math Equations
L.I to round up numbers to the nearest ten.
I learnt how to round up numbers to the nearest ten. I think rounding up numbers could really help with math because you can solve equations in another way. I learnt this by writing down the math questions and try to solve it by rounding them to the nearest number. Here is an Example: For the first equation is 9 + 6. To solve that we have to see which number is bigger. So 9 is the biggest number. So what is the nearest ten to 9. It’s 10. So now we have to take the 1 from the 6 so 6 takeaway 1 is 5.

Graphs
L.I Using blog Statistics, Graph individual results. Make a Statistical generalization on the data presented, and set for the year.
What did you learn? I learnt how to make 2 graphs based on my years of blog posting. Also I learnt how to make a graph because I never knew how to make a graph on a google sheets.
How did you learn? I learnt it by listening carefully to Mr Ogilvie and later on I went on google sheet and found out how to make a graph on my own.

Colour Graph
L.I Conduct investigations using the statistical inquiry cycle: posing and answering questions; gathering, sorting, and displaying category and whole-number data; communicating findings based on the data. I learnt to make a colour graph. I learnt it by going around to everyone in the class and asking them what their favorite colour was and the most was the other, colours were red, blue, pink, green and other. We had to make an Acics. We had to add labels and a title and they have to be the right ones.
