Te Reo Maori Phrases

L.I To showcase Te Reo Maori phrases.
Today I have decided to blog the Te Reo Maori DLO that Victoria and I worked on. This activity was to create a DLO showcasing some easy weather phrases and feeling phrases. Victoria and I worked collaboratively to get this completed. We also added a photo of a hook that is also used on the wall of the Junior classes at our school (Panmure Bridge School). We enjoyed doing this activity as we got really good feedback from it. :)

Day 5 SLJ Activity 1

  1. Nau mai ki Aotearoa.
  2. ____ is my name.
  3. What is your name?
  4. He pai taku ki te takaro i te whutupaoro.
  5. Where do you come from?

  1. Welcome to New Zealand.
  2. Ko Florence toku ingoa te tangata
  3. He aha to ingoa?
  4. I like to play rugby.
  5. No hea koe?

For this activity I had to write down Phrase from Maori - English. I used Google Translate so that I could translate the phrases. My favorite phrase is He paitaku ki te takaro/I like to play rugby because the Maori versions was long and interesting for me to say in one big, whole sentence.
