Current Events | Reading

Today as a great start off to reading we completed another activity. This activity was completed in our collaborative groups. To complete this task we were to find 2 events about national and international events that had happened recently. We used a creative DLO that helped us write everything in. Pua, Te Pounamu, Avalon, Mele, and I worked collaboratively together for this task. We chose the articles about Fiji banning nets and children's day. We answered the 5 questions and 1 how. Our group also gave our own point of views to show that we have evidence. 

Silver Excellence & Innovation | Care Awards

This week I have decided to blog my last Silver Excellence & Innovation. This activity is where I had to find 3 novels, I had to read those novels during a term. This activity was fun to do because I got to read 3 of my favourite books. I summarised what the books were about so people can know what happens in the books.

Silver Excellence & Innovation activity | Care Awards

This week I have decided to blog my second Silver Excellence & Innovation activity. This activity was where I had to think of a passion that I have. The passion that I have is Photography. I have a passion for photography, I would like to be a photographer when I'm older. I had to write about what my personal passion was, and why that was my passion. I included the process of me wanting to be a photographer. I did eventually give up but then my older cousin was into photography, he gave me tips on how I could improve my photos. I included photos from my photography experience.

Silver Excellence & Innovation activity | Care Awards

This week I have decided to blog my First Silver Excellence & Innovation activity. This activity was under Own task: Created with my teacher. My teacher Mrs. Anderson asked me to make a DLO about how to play a game that we played at Kiwi Can. It was called Chop Suey Salute. This activity was also made with my Best Friend Victoria. This activity was fun to do because I knew that it was going to earn me another activity for my silver Excellence & Innovation.

Collaborative Challenge

This week for Maths we had to work out a maths problem, these maths problems were provided on the LS2 Maths Site. We had to solve 2 maths problems, But I finished this one first. This task was easy to do because all I had to do was use my addition skills. We also had another Maths Problem it was about a class that going Camping. For this activity we had to use our multiplication skills to solve the question. We were given a clue, the clue was to read the problem carefully. We then re read the problem and found out why we kept getting the answer wrong. It was because we didn't read the problem carefully.

Kindness | Helpful

Today when I was in my car getting something, we stopped at a red light. In our view we saw a bus station, shops, takeaways etc, But we also noticed a elderly man, He was in the middle of the road trying to cross the road. We also saw people asking him if he was Ok, we noticed that he was starting to slow down, so 3 kind men started coming out of their cars and trying to help him walk off the road so that he would't get in an accident. That just goes to show that when you see someone in need you should go help them out, don't just leave them to get hurt. By helping someone in need it just shows people that your kind and you care about people that need help with things. Especially if its and elderly person, Elders can't do everything quickly, so when you see something like that happen go and help them out. 

Reading DLO's

This week for reading we had to complete 3 DLO's that relate to the story that we read. The story that we read was about Sharks. It included information like the parts of their bodies and the types of sharks that are in the whole world. One of the DLO's were where we had to make a DLO about Great White Sharks. The Second DLO was where we had to write the meanings of words that we didn't understand. The third DLO was where we had to copy the questions from the Reading page and answer them with a buddy. I have not quiet completed that activity but I am close.
