LS2 READING CHALLENGE | Book #16

Three Men in a Boat (Three Men, #1)
Today I have decided to do another book for the LS2 Reading Challenge. The topic that I have chosen is Humour. The book that I have chosen is called "Three Men in a Boat." Down below is a summary about the book.

A comic that has never been out of print since it was first published in 1889, Jerome K. Jerome's Three Men in a Boat includes an introduction and notes by Jeremy Lewis in Penguin Classics.

I recommend this book because it can teach kids about what happens in the story, and it is great to have knowledge on something that may be useful sometime in life.

LS2 READING CHALLENGE | Book #15

All Quiet on the Western Front
Today I have decided to do another book for the LS2 reading challenge. The topic of the book is Historical Fiction. The book that I chose was "Al quiet on the western front." Down below is the summary of the book.

This is the testament of Paul Bäumer, who enlists with his classmates in the German army of World War I. These young men become enthusiastic soldiers, but their world of duty, culture, and progress breaks into pieces under the first bombardment in the trenches.

Through years of vivid horror, Paul holds fast to a single vow: to fight against the hatred that meaninglessly pits young men of the same generation but different uniforms against one another – if only he can come out of the war alive.

This book is about the different kinds of fish that are down in our ocean/sea. Is talks about the appearances of different fishes and that all fishes aren't the same. It talks about some of the fishes emotions that they feel. This book just sums up that everything we see are funny in its own way.

Transport Ship | War/ANZAC

Today for Inquiry we did another task on the War/Anzac. We did these tasks to build up our collaboration skills, and our general knowledge skills. I worked with 4 peoples but mostly 3. I worked with Neveah, Chavda and Jonathan. We made a DLO about the Transport ship. We found out that the transport ship was used to take soldiers, Nurses, Officers and cookers to War. We also found out that the soldiers did exercise, they ate as well on the ship. On our DLO we included the 5 W's and the H, the  attribution to the images, the distance and the life of being on the ship. We also got to present the DLO to our class. We had a script to read off, so that we weren't reading off the DLO.

Continents of the world

Did you know that there are 7 continents in the world? Well, today My Partner and I made a DLO about the 7 continents. We included the founders of each continent, three facts about 3 different continents, map, and the names of the continents.  With the image we also wrote out the attribution. This was put together to test out our collaboration skills and what we know about the world. My most shocking fact was finding out that James Cook was the first ever person to discover Antarctica, another fact that was interesting is that Asia is the biggest continent, population and the size out of all the continents.

READING CHALLENGE | Book 12

Today I have decided to read another book for the LS2 READING CHALLENGE. This book is called Baba Didi and the godwits fly. Down below is a description of the book.

A story about two true fantastical flights; that of the godwits around and across the Pacific and a woman's emigration from Croatia to New Zealand. A young girl and her grandmother, Baba Didi, are on a beach watching the godwits preparing to migrate. Talking about the birds's courageous journey across the Pacific resonates with generations of human migration, from the Maori reaching New Zealand to Baba Didi's journey from Croatia.

This  book was labelled under Sophisticated Picture Book. This book was interesting to read so I recommend this.
