This Vs That

This week for inquiry we focused on making a this Vs that of the olympics and PBS. Th hardest thing to find in the whole of the activity was the whakatauki and the motto. Every thing else I already knew. I  didn't know much about the   olympics but now I do. So maybe in the future I will learn more about the olympics.

Kiwi Can

Today for kiwi can our topic is fairness and fair play also our theme is positive relationships. Last week we focused on following the rules. This week our activity was tigerlow. To play everyone would have to get into a circle and everyone would have to say roar when the person in the middle would say tiger. If the person in the middles say buffalo then the person that he/her points to you have to say buffalo. Later on in the game the kiwi can Leaders added another animal and it was a snake. The snake is when you wiggle like a snake. A Tiger is when you say roar and last a buffalo is when you say ooo. The next game was when their would be 2 taggers and they would have to jump to tag you. So basically everyone is on one side and the rest on the other side. When one of the instructor clap that's when you can jump away from the taggers. I got out in every game I was dissapoited but it was all right. So everyone would always be jumping everywhere but they don't know that the taggers are probably behind them.

I learnt to make a Google draw and writing things about the 2018 winter Olympics. I learnt it by reading a book and we had to write what the book olypics does the same as the real olympics.

Winter Olympics 2018

 LI: To create a poster about the 2018 Winter Olympics. This week for inquiry we had to make a poster about the Winter Olympics. First we had to get into groups of 4 people. I was with Charlize, Sakina, Angelica and Jayden. For the poster we had to include the distance from South Korea to New Zealand, the map of where the Winter Olympics is being held in, how many events there will be, the countries that are competing and how long it goes for. We had to make sure our text, our colour, our composition and our layout was good.

What did you learn? I learnt how to make 2 graphs based on my years of blog posting. Also I learnt how to make a graph because I never knew how to make a graph on a google sheets.

How did you learn? I learnt it by listening carefully to Mr Ogilvie and later on I went on google sheet and found out how to make a graph on my own.

Table conga

Table Conga

Today I did some table conga and That is a math game that you can do to learn Multiplication and when you complete it then you get a award trophy for it and then you can practice the rest of your multiplications.The key was to get all of the numbers that comes after 2 like 2 4 6 8 10.Like counting in 2's.And there is also a virus that has a X on it and it is grey.If it touches you then you will have to sadly start all over again.

Kiwi Can

For Kiwi Can today we learnt how to play by the rules. We played 2 game the first game was called Freeze tag. This is how to play. First you have to have 2 taggers and everyone else has to go spreed out and they had to walk fast enough so that the taggers don't tag you but if you get tagged then you have to freeze and to be back in the game someone will have to touch you on the shoulders and then when you feel that someone touched you shoulder you can go and play with the others. We changed it by walking in slo mo and also your not allowed to talk.

Creative Work Attribution

I learnt how to attribute an image from Flickr and Lable for reuse. I did it by going to Flickr and searching a character and I found a photo and then I pressed it and I got the link to the photo. Then I got the link to the creators page and stuck it on to the google drawing. Last I got the license/ Creative commons and put that on and then thats how to attribute an image.

Day 2 SLJ Activity 2

I rate this painting a 3 out of 5 because it doesn't have any detail in it really because i think that it is about a young women in a vehicle isn't interesting to look at.


For this task I had to rate this painting out of 5 I gave it a 3 because i didn't feel anything was interesting about it because it doesn't have detail and facial expression and bright and dark colors.

Day 2 SLJ Activity 1

I think that the Lions cage is about Charlie being in a cage with a lion and he was scared was trying ways to get out.


I think that the Gold rush was about Charlie going on an adventure to a mystery place and found a house. In the house he was calm but weird things kept happening.











For this task I had to watch 2 trailers called Gold Rush and The lions cage. I had to say what I thought it was about and if I like to watch silent movies and I say no I don't like to watch silent movies because I want to hear the voices of the actors.

For this task I had to read a poem and I had to say if I liked it and how I felt when I was reading it.


I did like the poem because it rymes and it gives really close imagination that if i was there watching people fought. I felt sad for the people who died in the war and the families that got killed too (R.I.P)

It is not fair for women to not vote in Saudi Arabia because men there think that women have no brain and think that they would have been stupid to run the country so the men wanted to run the country instead of the Womens.



For this task I had to write the fact that women were not allowed to vote in Saudi Arabia until 2015. Is it fair? I don't think it is fair Why or why not? Men have no write to take over the country.

3. It was built in: The year 1883
4. How long did it take to build: I am not sure when it was built but I am guessing maybe 2 years? but I could be wrong.

Day 5 SLJ Activity 2

For this task I had to visit a Site and pick three of my favorite things I would do if I were to go there. Here are my Favorite things to do.

1. First thing I would do is visit the Treaty of Waitagi and read what it had to say.
2. Then I would go and visit the Marae and explore around it.
3. Last is to watch the Beautiful shining sun change into a dark bright moon.

My favorite out of those 3 is to watch the Sun set to a dark grey moon.

For this activity I had to write down Phrase from Maori - English. I used Google Translate so that I could translate the phrases. My favorite phrase is He paitaku ki te takaro/I like to play rugby because the Maori versions was long and interesting for me to say in one big, whole sentence.
