For this activity I had to go and read 4 old maori games. I had to choose which game I wanted to do and I picked Ki o Rahi. I haad to name the game, the goal or purpose of the game and two rules about the game.

1. Name of game - Ki o rahi
2. The goal or purpose of game - The goal of the game is to hit the object i the middle circle.
3. Two rules -  When you are about to kick or throw the ball you have to throw it to the middle and the second rule is that if someone takes off one of your tags then your team has to give the ball to the other team.

Haere Mai - YouTube

For this task I had to find a Maori waiata song. I chose Haere mai. I chose that song because the junior kapa haka group dance to that song and I know how to sing it so it is basically a waiata that not only I know. I like it because it is very catchy for me. I learnt it on probably the second time they performed it so yeah.

For this activity I had to write a letter to my friend saying how I would feel if I was voyaging on a waka/canoe. We had to write how we would feel if we were on the boat/waka/Canoe. Here is my letter.

Hello my friend I am pretty nervous, the water is rough and also a lot of big waves I am always wet. I am wet and cold I can't stand the rain and thunder storms. A lot of people are in this boat I am very Crowded. Every where I look their is always just water/sea/ocean. Suddenly I look up and see a funny looking cloud. Few seconds later I look back up and the cloud is getting bigger and closer then I realize it is not a cloud, but actually the land. I jump with joy because all my wishes have come true. Now I can finally be warm and dry and get off this boring stinky boat.

1. Maui dreamed of going fishing with his older brothers.

3.  Maui is the youngest siblings his brothers were older than him.

The only story I know is Maui and the sun and Maui and the giant fish.

Jet ski Addition

Today for my can do I did Jet ski addition for the game you can rather make a private game or a private for a public game you can press join and then you are in the game. But for a private game you need a password. For my game I made up a private game my friend sila joined me. I came second in one of the games On one of the other games I played i came first. This is how to play you need rather a private game or a public game and you can start when ever you want to. When you start you will get a bunch of adition questions and if you are fast you might come first if you go slow at answering the questions you might come last.

Today for my Daily six I did Level 3 for keyboarding drills. I think I am getting faster and better each time I do it. I think this is a really good help for people who need help on getting faster at typing.

Kiwi Sport

Today at kiwi sport we had a lot of fun because we got to play games all day because Kevin (Our Instructor) said it was the last day of badminton. We were very sad because we like playing badminton. The games we played was Octopus,1 ins and outs and twos ins and outs. I really liked all of the games we played because it's good exercise.  At the end of the day we all had fun we said thank you to Kevin and gave him around of applause.

Today for Reading I worked with Chavda. I have learnt how to read fast because I had to go up to 201 pages but I didn't becuase I don't read that fast. I only went up to 45 because it would take a very long time to finished reading the Witches. Chavda did the video while I was gone to kiwi sport.

The games was cool to play we were all happy when we were playing the warm up game.

Answering Math Questions

Today for maths we had to comment on a class mates blog post. The comment we had to do was explain the answers for the math questions. I commented on Sila's blog post. I could answer all of the question. The answer to the first question was 35. I got in by adding 5 to 15 and it made 20 so I added 15 to 20 and it made 35. The second answer for the question was 400. I solved it by doing 490 take away 90 which equaled 400. The third answer for the question was 5/4. I solved it by taking away 1/4 of the cake. The very last answer for the multiplication question was 32. I counted in 8's 4 times and got 32.  

It's Novel Time

I learnt how to do novel studies. I learnt it by reading a book for 20 minutes and after reading I explain a few things on what happens in the little bit of reading that you did. I worked with Chavda we both had a great time working together.

Kiwi Can

Today for Kiwi Can we played a game it was so cool we had to get into groups. And play a game with Mrs Latoya and Miss Lily the game we played was really cool we were all happy playing the game we all had fun at Kiwi Can. All day we played games. Our phrase is Respects/Empothy.

Three roles

I learnt how to research on different topics. I learnt it by picking 3 topics and doing some researsh about it. Today for inquiry we did Roles. We had to make a slide and pick three topics from the Emergency service,Professional,Trades,Government Service and last is the three roles. My three roles were Fire department,Doctor and Libraries. I liked the topics I chose because it was interesting to find many information about each topic.

Raz kids

I learnt to read a book that I have never read before. I learnt it by reading,Listening and answer question about the book. My book was called Darby's Birthday Party. It was about a dog who was turning 15 in 2 day and Mia and Mike were trying to find a place for Darby's birthday party, Trying to find people to invite and trying to find what food to bring. Mike and Mia really wanted to make this party a good party for Darby. 

Dancing mat typing

I learnt how to play dancing mat. I learnt it by going on the site and starting to practice my typing. For the typing game you had to try and remember what fingers to put on each letters. Also I had to see if I can type without looking at my fingers and the key board. I think that I did a good job at this especially for my first time ever doing this.

Current Events

Today I worked with Chavda on Current events. Our topic we picked was Flooding in Victoria. We picked this topic because we found it interesting and different.  I think we did a good job on this and I think the 6 hats help us explained the things we red.

Maths Comment

L.I to comment on someones math quiz.
I learnt how to solve questions that were made by classmates. I learnt it by having to read 4 question that were made by class mates. I commented on Sandra and Alice's blog post. I could only solve number 1,3 and 4. I solved number 1 buy doing 8 x 8 = 64 another  way I could have done it was by counting all of the slime's but that could of took long. I also solved number 3 by doing 540 + 228 = 768. Last I did number 4 and I solved it by doing 124 - 26 = 98. That is how I solved all of their answers on Sandra and Alice's blog post.

Kiwi Sport

At Kiwi Sport we played a warm up game it was Octopus.  Our group loved that game. TO play you had to have 2 taggers and a bunch or runners. The tagger can rather say octopus or they can say bare feet or shoes or earrings. Or something like that and who ever had that kind of thing then they have to run and when they run the taggers have to try a tag the people that are running. If you get tagged then you have to go to your spot where you got tagged and try a tag the people that come running past you. After the warm up game we learnt how to do the the four hand serve. It was a little hard but it was fun. We had to buddy up with someone. You have to get a racket for yourself and you buddy and get one shuttle to share. Then you can can start playing a rally with each other.

Kiwi Can

Today at kiwi  can we did games. One of the games were Buddy up, Buddy down. To play that game you had to pair up with someone and stand in a circle and there is supposed to be a circle in the middle and a circle in the outside. Someone would say Buddy down and both of yous have to sit and when the person say buddy up you stand up. When the person say buddy left then the buddy on the outside has to run on to the left side of the circle. When the person says buddy right the buddy on the outside has to run to the right and whoever is the last one to get back to their buddy then they have to sit down.

Government Service.

LI: To look at more than one information source when researching. LI: To record facts in your own words. I learnt to find information on a topic. I learnt it by working with Nyjah she did Welfare and I did Council. I found a book with a fact and I really liked it because I don't always find a book with a fact in it about my topic.

Math Equations

Today for maths we did math equations. I worked with a buddy, she was Miiana. For the math task we had to make a google drawing and make 4 squares. In each of the 4 squares there had to be addition,subtraction,fractions and last was multiplication. Me and Miiana worked on 2 squares. I did the fractions and the subtractions and half of the addition. Miiana did the multiplication and the Addition. We were told that we had get the pictures from a site and attribute it or you can draw it. But me and Miiana decided to twist things up and go for 2 squares are drawn and 2 squares have photos. That was it for todays math task.

Athletic day Vlog

Today we did Athletics. For athletics day we did loads of fun activity's like spoon and egg race,surf lifesaving,Discus,rest/dance,long jump,rob the nest, shot put and more. My colour group was green. We only had 3 people in my group. We had older people come to the school and help with the activitys. My first Station was the Rest/Dance Station we got to dance and have a rest I liked it because I like singing and Dancing. So that we know when to go to the next station we have to listen for the air horn that Mr Ogilvie blows. My favorite activity was the sponge game. I liked it because we had to have a sponge and we had to run to the bar where you have to go under then you have to run the sticks where you have to jump over and then there is a yellow bucket with water in it and your supposed to get your sponge and dip it in the water and get as much water as you can. The you had to run the obstacles back and pour out the water from the sponge to the bucket. Who ever had the most water in their buckets win. My group won so we were so happy.

Today I did SSR Selfie and the book I did was blood brother. My book was a chapter book I used to read this book in reading but I finished reading it so now i am doing another book.

Today I commented on Ellenora's blog. Her task was about her commenting on Sila's blog post. My advice to her is that she should never give up and try and do bigger blurbs.

Table Master

Today for my can do I did table master again. The time tables i did were my 3 time tables. My goal is to start easy and then  later on I will go to a higher level and see if I can beat some people on the leader board. I liked doing my 3 time tables. It was really challenging But it was very fun to play.

Raz kids

Today I did raz kids. My book today was the story of jeans. My story is about jeans obviously. Also it was about how jeans became popular in america and how people like president Obama  and men from movies would wear jeans. Some people liked jeans because cowboys looked cool and tough in them and some people didn't for some other reason. I liked this book because it was interesting and very factual.

Fire department Visit.

Today we went to visit the Glenn innes Fire department. We walked to and back from the fire department. We meet 4 men the names were Paul,Norman,Bob and Steve. Bob said a few things then Norman said a couple things. After a while we got told to walk outside and sit down on the wooden bar. When LS1 sat down we saw a big fire truck. Everyone were say woo, Norman told us the different things about the fire truck. There were 3 cupboards on each side of the truck. Norman showed us how they dress when they  get an emergency call from someone. The 4 men were a crew they work all day and when it's night another 4 people come in and took over. Norman also wanted 4 volunteers to come up and have a try with the hose and shoot it anywhere. The 4 volunteers for our class were Andrew,Jonathan,Fui and Sandra. They used the little hose. The little hose doesn't give out a lot of water but it does shoot high up. When Sandra had a turn she made the water splash Mrs Anderson. After Mr Ogilvie had a try at the medium hose and he splashed the tower and he was so close to hitting the top window. Last Norman had a try at the big hose and he splahsed it so high and also splashed the class and we all got so wet. Later on we had to say good bye and leave. We all had fun at the end of the day and went to do hand shake the fire mens hands.

Introduction:

Raz kids is a reading site that you can go on and  learn about new books. Also you can Read,Hear and Answer things about the book. My book was Dogs at work. I liked the book it was so interesting and it has a lot of imagination.

Table Master

Today for can dos I decided to do Table master again. I wanted to start easy so I did my 2 times table. I learnt how to get faster at doing my time tables. I learnt it by going and practicing them over and over again at home.

Trades

LI: To look at more than one information source when researching.
I learnt how to find information on one specific topic. My topic was Delivery Drivers. I worked with Jack,Both of us chose a public transport. He chose a Bus Driver and I did a delivery driver. I learnt it by going on different sites about my topic. I found a few sites that helped me.

Police Visit

Today we had a visit from the Police. The police came in a huge helicopter. In the helicopter were 4 men. Constable Cyrus is the main person that we should thank because he is the person who put all of this together. When the Helicopter landed Everyone saw the grass flying and it hit everyone. We had one of the dog come out of one of the cars. The name of the dog was Kahu. One of the men did trick with the dog like smelling scent,following the mans hand. The man put this toy thing out and the dog bit it and then man tried to take the toy off Kahu but Kahu didn't let go so Kahu just flew in the air it was so funny. But later they had to leave so we said bye.

Kiwi Sport/ Badminton

Today at kiwi sport we played a warm up game it was Stuck in the mud. To play you have to spreed out in a space by yourself and wait. Someone should Eventually say play or start. When they tell you to start you have to run away from the taggers. The taggers for my group were Matthew and Aung naing. I got tagged about 5 times. After the Warm up game we had to get into buddies and you have to have 2 rackets and 1 shuttle between each other. I worked with Kaitlyn at first then Liane. one person had to throw the shuttle to the person who has the racket and then the person with the racket has to hit it back to the person who threw it.

SSR Selfie

L.I to explain more about books you've read. I learnt to explain part of a story. I learnt it by reading a book and when I finish I have to explain what I read or what happen in the story. My story was Owl Diaries/A woodland weeding. I wrote a lot about the book I had to take a photo of my book and my face.

Kiwi Can

Today at Kiwi Can our catch phrase was I respect you,you  respect me we respect everybody. The first game we played was Flip it. This is how to play:
You want to speed out some cones on the ground some have to be flat and some have to not flat. Then you want to spreed out and wait till someone say start then you have to rather flip the cone on one side. The second game we played was GKQ to play it people had to form a circle. Then one person will stand behind one person and Someone would ask question and the person standing or the person that is in front of the person behind that person would have to say the answer.

Emma Watson

L.I To understand how to deliver a speech What techniques can be used when speaking. I learnt to listen to a speech that a better speech righter person made. I learnt it by clicking on a link to Emma Watson's Speech and watching it. Then I had to right down what she said and what my favorite part about her speech was.

Colour Graph

L.I Conduct investigations using the statistical inquiry cycle: posing and answering questions; gathering, sorting, and displaying category and whole-number data; communicating findings based on the data. I learnt to make a colour graph. I learnt it by going around to everyone in the class and asking them what their favorite colour was and the most was the other, colours were red,blue,pink,green and other. We had to make an Acics. We had to add labels and a title and they have to be the right ones.

I learnt it by reading a book for 20 minutes each day we have reading. Then we have to write down what you first thinkings were and the because. Then you have to finish off the Vocabulary, Main Ideas, Summarise and Evaluate and then you're done.

Table master

L.I to get better at time tables. I learnt my time tables. I learnt it by searching up my 12 time tables and trying to remember them and try to put my thinking skills to the test. I think I did Ok but who knows. I did my 12 times table because i thought it would be challenging and it was really challenging. I had to put a lot of pressure on me so that I remembered everything.

I learnt about changes. I learnt it by reading a book called Changes. It was about a girl who life always changes. I learnt that anything could happen at any time.

Professional

L.L Professionals are people that have trained a lot in a specialized field that provides service for the public. Example are doctors and Pilots. What others can you think of?
I Learnt to finish a Google slide. I learnt it by going onto sites to find information about the topic I did. My topic was Doctor. My buddies one was Educator. We had to write down true or false facts on our slide and try to figure out if it is true or fake. Then you had to put a link in that relates to the writing on top of it. Then you had to
facts from books in the libary. Last we just had to write down questions that we would ask the Doctor's or Educator.

Today I commented on the PBS film festival. That happen on Wednesday. I commented on my class Movie. I really injoyed it a lot

Kiwi Sport

Today at kiwi Sport we played a warm up game and it was called everyone's it or if you prefer continuing tag. To play you have to first spreed yourself out in the hall, Kevin will say go and everyone is it and if you get taged you sit down if you tag someone at the same time as they did then you have to paper scissors rock and who every sits stays sitting until the person who got you out sits down you get to stand up. After the warm up game we had to get a partner and get 2 rackets one shuttle. My buddy was Yesha . We were super good at passing the shuttle to each other but we lost a lot of times but we had fun.

SSR Selfie

L.I to read books more each day. I learnt how to read a book and explain what i was about. I learnt it by reading a book and went to the SSR selfie site and made a new slide and explained what my book was about.

Fruits LS1 like Graph

L.I To investigate a range of multiplication and division strategies. I learnt to make a graph for what fruit the whole class likes. The most was any kind of fruit. I learnt it by going to everyone in the class and telling what their favorite fruit is out of other,Apple or Banana. I was so surprised in what kind of fruit my whole class likes. My favorite fruit is a Strawberry but that would be a question mark.

FireWorks

Today we had to write down three facts or more on a DLO. I worked in paires my pair was Avalon. Me and Avalon went on several sites to find out some tips on how to stay safe around fireworks. We did 8 Tips because we want kids to always stay safe when they are doing fireworks. We added gifs for some cool detail to the DLO.

It's Novel time

Today I learnt how to do it's novel time. I learnt it by working with Alayah. We worked together and did all the boxes. We had to read a book for 20 minutes so that we could do more and more of the boxes.

Structure and language

L.I to understand the word tree. I learnt how to use tree in my recounts. I learnt it by remembering tree whenever i write a recount so that I can always keep track of my recount order.

Today I did free rice it is a game where you have to see a meaning and pick one of the choices and I got it right.
